Nov 3rd 2010 3:34PM Indeed, deadly momentum is the most powerful rogue leveling talent available, and combat can't max it out until level 71. Until that point I would have to say mutilate is the strongest spec with its rolling HoT and 40% attack speed.
Nov 1st 2010 10:30PM You also can't use your rocket pack on gunship when you have that debuff. My raid found that out the hard way when our tank wasn't able to jump over >
Oct 27th 2010 9:40PM For assassination, you still want a fast OH for Deadly Poison. With Improved Poisons, DP has a 50% of being applied on weapon strike. So the faster the weapon, the more strikes you make in a certain period of time, meaning you get your DP stacks up faster you get more procs of IP (as when DP procs when you already have 5 stacks on the target you proc the poison on your other weapon). Since poisons are a much larger portion of an assassination rogue's damage in comparison to Mutilate (even more now post-4.0.1 with mastery and the fact that you don't use Mutilate sub-35%), the benefits of a fast dagger in the OH far outweigh those of a slow dagger.
Oct 27th 2010 9:15PM Personally, I'm glad more rogue will be using daggers. When you think "rogue weapons", the first thing that comes to mind is daggers. It's even our class symbol!
In terms of combat, it never really made sense when you saw a rogue with nearly identical axes yet one was almost twice as fast as the other and as fast as a small dagger. Also, combat seems the most warrior-like spec (no offense) in that they're able to pick up pretty much any weapon and charge into battle, not necessarily matching.
