Nov 21st 2010 4:36PM I think everyone know someone who plays WoW, and like the poster above me said, just hasn't found out yet.
I don't really have a wow-friendly environment around me either, which is actually quite strange for the 14 year old I am, maybe the situation in teh USA is different, but meh. I have one friend who plays/played WoW, but he buys months worth of game time every few months, so well, that isn't much of an incentive for wow talks either. If anyone else near me actually plays, I fear that he/she might, following the steriotype, is one of the despised sort of 14-year olds. Either way, more people around me playing it, or atleast a more gamer-ish, more geeky-ish, or however you'd like to call it.
Anyway, i'm lucky to have a wow-player as a brother, him actually being the one who dragged me in, anyways, I agree with you.
Nov 19th 2010 9:20AM Oh the Drama.
I'm in a guild which has around 150 members (account, not character wise) and we have members of all age groups, ranging from people in their forties, to minors (including me, as a matter of fact).
We went for the easiest solution, we have a clear, which is annouced almost everytime a new member enters, but is not witten anywhere, that offensive language should be kept to after 9 P.M.
Also, I agree with Robin on the part that the child will have been exposed to language way worse than this, probably not even on WoW, I mean, we also usually get a few drunk people on late-night, it doesn't even get very bad at all, I can't imagine it being so different it would scar a child for life.
Anyways, I'm not sure whether leaving the guild was the right idea, this is the usual way things play out, so it seems the guild is okay with the "Offensive" chat, You haven't got the entire guild against you, you have one person against probably most of the guild, even though you've worsened your own position a bit with a bad remark.
Nov 8th 2010 11:25AM Well, at least this version is way better than the origional! (imo, other people's opinions naturally differ)
Staying in the gerne though, so I'm going to suggests the nice old Punkrock song Fat Lip by Sum 41 (Sorry, i'm a little bit fanboyish after the concert last friday >
Sep 15th 2010 10:36AM Same in the guild I'm in, though we're mostly 20-30+ people, we have a few people, including myself, who are still minors, and the ones I know to be minors are actually quite mature, well, one of them is quite talkative over vent, but that isn't much of a problem.
Myself?, well, I might've done bad, immature things in the past, but I don't really do any of those anymore, also, a funny note, my guildies still won't believe I'm still so young, they say my voice is akin to that of a 25+ year old.
Also, we have a rule that bans really bad language before 9 P.M. :)
Sep 14th 2010 4:51PM Indeed,
Though I think Fox is a (nearly) as good substitute! :)
Sep 14th 2010 2:33PM Woooooo.....,
I like the tcg loot, and though I wouldn't actually mind playing the tcg, There just isn't really any good opportunity to play it near me, And I find it a waste to buy the cards just to get the prices, so it would be great to win here :).
for the change of address, I'm not sure whether I really got it in the post yesterday, but if this "releases" you from the AOL restrictions, I like it, since I'm situated in europe :).
Sep 13th 2010 11:43AM I just clicked the link in my e-mail, sorry :)
Sep 13th 2010 11:33AM Really?
I guess I don't know enough about druid armour to know that then, I don't have a high level druid though.
Anyways, I just got the Idea after reading the war of the ancients trilogy, And it would be Fun to just have it, regardless of armour :)
Sep 13th 2010 11:29AM Will Druids ever grow Antlers in-game?
