Breakfast Topic: Biggest AH sale? {WoW}

May 15th 2008 1:51PM Oh, I totally forgot, last night I was able to be a apart of a Bear Mount run for 5k on Magtheridon, Alliance side. We made 555g each. The craziest thing was, that we made the timer with 11 min to spare. Fastest run ever for me and we were carrying a pug along too.

Maybe a little off topic per se, but sometimes selling services rather than goods themselves can be just as profitable

Breakfast Topic: Biggest AH sale? {WoW}

May 15th 2008 1:48PM I was able to sell Belt of Natural Power, the feral druid BE belt from the BOP pattern for 3k and 2k on successive days after a server transfer b/c i was no longer in a guild that claimed rights to the 4 Nether Vortexes in my bank. Sometimes luck smile upon you . . . :)

I never knew that! I'll have to give it a try when I get the chance. Thanks :-)

Mar 5th 2008 4:14PM I raid BT on a holy pally and rock an alt Belf Pally for my Ret pleasures. Have you ever tried to do the "Wrangle more Rays" quest in BEM on a high pop server? Good god its impossible. I swear those damn things fly at 11yds off the ground. Without any kind of ranged ability, Ret paladins can not pull the rays out of the air. Prot has the shield and Holy has the shock, but no love for Ret.

I have to agree that Ret could still use some work, deep in the tree, but what I think we need most is Seal of Blood for Alliance. Spell damage has been removed from the gear, but why is it still necessary for Alliance paladins? Ugh. I think we are all masochists.

Alliance to get Seal of Blood in 2.4? {WoW}

Feb 19th 2008 2:21PM Wow, finally! Too bad I leveled a Blood Elf paladin to compliment my Dwarf paladin so that I can get the best of both worlds. (Palm to face)

How many Badges of Justice do you need? {WoW}

Feb 19th 2008 2:16PM Neocene, I know that many people won't like what I am about to say . . . but "spending weeks and perhaps months" to get a few specific pieces of gear is exactly what the "hard-core" raiders do. My guild has been raiding only 2 nights a week (BT clear one night, Hyjal the other), but to get to this point has taken many hours of tedious wipes and redo's. Please do not take this as a "raider" coming down on a "casual," but I want to help you understand that getting gear simply takes time. Personally, I am simultaneously upset and elated at the new badge loot. I am happy because now I can get my alt some respectable gear, but I am very upset that the highest levels of gear are available to those who, in essence, "wait long enough."

Similar to the debate that happened when the Season 1 Arena gear became available for purchase with honor, some people--myself included--feel that the accomplishment of completing the toughest content in the game is losing its luster. And this is definitely a very recent trend; it's not as if any of us could just farm ZG or MC over and over again to get gear similar to the Tier 3 gear from Naxx.

All in all, I think that this is the closest that we are going to come to a compromise on gear for so called "casuals" and "hard-core raiders." In theory, the hard-core raiders pay in skill and front-end time while casuals pay in time spent farming.
