Mar 24th 2011 7:03PM lol same here. I read that and I was like "wh-huh?"
Mar 24th 2011 6:57PM This article is great. But I think most politeness issues could be dealt with by taking the damned limit off the number of people you can ignore. Over time, you would naturally fall into being around of group of folks that you generally get along with. Then, miscommunication or people just acting in ways you don't prefer would happen a lot less because all the people you didn't want to be around would basically (basically) be removed from the game. I have always wondered what was stopping Blizz from implementing the eternal ignore list.
Mar 9th 2011 1:04PM lol on the arnold reference.
Mar 9th 2011 12:30PM I am and always will be a healing priest and whoever thought up Leap of Faith is hands down the most awesome person ever. The fact that I can yank a tank who's chomping at the bit while I'm trying to mana up back to behind the group every two minutes makes all the insanity of cata pugging almost worth it.
"Dude don't pull"
Feb 17th 2011 7:54PM I had the exact opposite experience described in the article: I saw the thing, thought "holy nuts that's awesome!" and bought one and then was supremely disappointment at how difficult I found it to get used to and how uncomfortable it was. I gave it to my girlfriend and she absolutely loves the thing.
You know what I think would be cool--have the number pad on TOP instead of on the side. I noticed that, unless I used the keyboard to turn (ew), my pinky and ring finger and associated areas of the wrist really got uncomfortable as that side of my hand fought to stablize against my thumb pushing buttons toward them. Thing just didn't work for me. /mourn
Feb 12th 2011 12:31AM Yeah, see they ain't all that bad. I never really bought that decision, though. Someone wasn't thinkin' it through.
Feb 9th 2011 2:05PM Being a douche doesn't get you anywhere; it just makes you a douche.
Moore Book of Axiom, Chapter III: Woe unto the Douche
Feb 4th 2011 8:01PM I never realized there was such a negative reaction to GC's article. It's sad that there's such a huge fallout from someone basically saying that people need to make an effort in able to succeed. "Consider gemming and enchanting your blues." Who would'a thunk it! I hope GC doesn't take any of that retard talk in the forums to heart.
Jan 27th 2011 7:14PM My dad referred to it as "that danged game" for a long time before he finally gave up. "You playing that danged game again?" "Have you been out all night again? Well, at least you weren't playing that danged game..." We've both accused each other of having "a problem"--me with WoW and him with smoking for almost 50 years. Yet we both lead perfectly normal lives. Everybody's got an effin' opinion...
