May 4th 2011 10:13PM Great, now I'm gonna have to go do progression raiding on my warrior just to do that. Curse you Starsmore and your putting awesome ideas in my head!
Apr 26th 2011 10:21PM I've been looking to redo my UI for awhile (I'm really only running the Razer Naga addon and some basic info ones) and I figured with my recent acquisition of a Alienware Aurora desktop (I used to play on a halfway decent 5 year old laptop), I figured now would the perfect time to give it a shot. I'm fairly computer savvy, but don't know a whole lot about setting up my own UI. Is there anywhere I should go to get a real crash course in customizing one?
Apr 6th 2011 10:17PM I guess I would have less issues with this if it was guaranteed to lower queue times, which it isn't Sure it may lower them a little, but I don't see it as bringing them down to the substantial amount that would make this more fair on the DPS. Right now I generally have 30 minute queues on average, and unless that drops to at most 5 minutes, I think this is rather unfair. It also doesn't help that I just don't enjoy the other two roles. Healing is too much bar watching and I could never get into tanking. And there's also the fact that I just love melting faces off on my characters. So in a sense, DPS will probably get nothing worthwhile while the tanks (almost always) and the healers (only sometimes) get even more.
I also wouldn't be as annoyed if it was limited to gold and flasks, and maybe pets, but the whole mount thing irks me. I have run heroic sethek halls every day for nearly a year now, and have yet to see the Raven lord drop, even more often with Stratholme, still no charger, and a tank (not automatically I know) gets them for something he already has some incentive to do. I don't know I guess, this kind of thing just really disappoints me on some level.
Mar 18th 2011 3:04PM Ulduar, I was healing on my shaman, it was my first time there so everything is just stunning visually and I'm getting nice and adjusted to the mostly serious atmosphere.
We get to XT. Big ass robot, looks horribly threatening. The raid leader explains the fight to me, not saying anything about his voice, I say I'm good to go and the tank charges in and all of a sudden the big scary robot yells in a child's voice "New toys? For me? I promise I won't break them this time!"
I crack up so badly that I fall out of my chair and have to sit on the ground for a minute or two to recover myself. Thankfully they heard the big THUD over vent and our other healer was a healer's healer and managed to keep the raid alive until I could get my breath back and start playing again.
Needless to I have yet to live that little incident down.
Mar 16th 2011 2:50PM Back in the day. 2 minute seals. Dear lord.
Not that I want to pull the whole "noob" or "I've been playing longer so I'm better" stuff that some people will undoubtedly interpret this as, but when I think back in the and seals makes me think of 30 secs and when ret pallies were "retardins"
I will admit, however, that I did rather like that seal system. Anyone else miss seal of the crusader? I do a little.
Mar 1st 2011 4:25PM In regards to focused insight, the macro I cooked up makes it A) easy to use and B) so worthwhile.
/cast [tar=targettarget] (insert your shock of choice here)
All it does is cat shock on whatever target your target has targeted (the word target sounds really weird now) It might also help that all my heals are plunked into mouse-over macros so I never have to stop targeting the tank, meaning that as long as I'm in range of the mob, I can get a mana cost reduction AND a healing boots every 6 seconds if I so choose without worrying about have to rapidly change targets.
Feb 16th 2011 4:20PM Ezio, Altair had ZERO character development, he was just some faceless member of a secret order.
Admittedly I didn't play any of the extra games like Chronicles, but I stand by my choice.
Sep 18th 2010 9:08PM Marrowgar hates me. The one time I saw it drop, I rolled a 3 on it.
Sep 18th 2010 7:06PM A question for the queue, if you will...
As a shaman main, I have always loved the 1h/shield thing, it just looks so much better than a staff. Unfortunatly, there isn't what you would call a plethora of obtainable spell shields in the game. And the ones that are there aren't overly appealing to my elemental spec. With elemental and restoration now sharing gear sets in cataclysm, are caster shields slightly easier to obtain?
Aug 13th 2010 10:03PM Drat, someone beat me to asking. Downrank away!
