Mar 5th 2012 3:29PM The solution is already in the game. Run normals until you're good at tanking, buy 378 point gear, then run heroics. I went from hitting 85 to an ilvl of 380 in literally 2 days of moderate play. If you take luck and gold out of the equation, you can easily do it in a week.

Everyone wants an easily solution nowadays for stuff that's already easy. The game has already been dumbed down to the point of not being fun anymore. Stop being lazy and queue for noormals until you're ready for heroics. That's what you're SUPPOSED to do!

What type of loot system works the best? {WoW}

Mar 1st 2012 7:40PM Guild wars 2 has by far the best loot system. Everyone works together to accomplish something and everyone gets a reward. No competition or drama among friends, just teamwork and group success. WoW's system is old and tired.

Feb 25th 2012 4:24PM Tanking defenitely appears to be getting easier from a mechanics perspective. The fear of having to move adds and bosses correctly, losing threat to dps, needing to calculate threat vs defensive stats, and needing to have a complete understanding of even normal mode fights before even attempting them all kept me from wanting to tank. It just seemed like to big a job.

Now though, threat is mostly a non issue, DS has made almost every fight stationary for the most part, and the LFR is a perfect stepping stone for a nub tank to learn the basics in a raid setting. While I can see the new ease of tanking as being frustrating to skilled veterans because it has certainly made the club less exclusive, I definitely enjoy the tanking wall being more of a large step now. Especially as a new blood dk, so many buttons.

Feb 18th 2012 6:50AM I'm hoping this is actually Blizzard's way of testing the waters for completely removing boss drops and switching to a primarily point based loot system.

As a hardcore raider who "competes" for server firsts and enjoys wiping on heroic content, I can honestly say that loot is one off the most destructive forces in semi hardcore raiding guilds. While there are many people like me in the top 100-300 ranked guilds, there's also a lot of fake hardcore raiders who are actually elitist epeeners. While we all may be equally skilled, the drama and loot vs progression night attendance issues that arise from the boss loot drop system are a constant thorn in every guild's ass. I would love it if all raid loot was purfhased using boss tokens/points. They could keep the current justice and valor system since that seems to work quite well. Then instead of hqving bosses drop loot, they would award normal and heroic boss currency to everyone in the raid. These "boss points" could then be spent on loot that would only drop from raid bosses, like good trinkets, weapons, tier sets, etc.

This would completely eliminate any potential loot drama, unlucky RNG, and the poisonous competitive nature of loot distribution that every guild deals with.

Jan 17th 2012 8:18AM Lol yes...yes I would. Thrall power jogs like 65 year old man, gets ice trapped, does pitiful dps, can't afford a mount, and slows down the whole run.

Illidan can stay since he gives a nice buff to the group and keeps everything going smoothly, even if he does afk for the 2nd fight. Tyrande is definitely out though. Her job is to handle the adds, and she fails miserably at it. Malfurion isn't really part of the group to begin with since he pussies out and quits.

Hey Thrall, how about a heal if you're only gonna do 3k dps? No? /votekick

Jan 7th 2012 1:11PM wtf is a healing rotation? The idea of casting a predetermined heal at a predetermined time doesn't even make sense. I've never heard anyone ask about such a thing, but if I did they be getting the bitch slap of their life.

Breakfast Topic: How do you feel after spending time with archaeology? {WoW}

Nov 16th 2011 4:00PM Archaeology is great if you happen upon a digsite while leveling since the experience is pretty good. It's basically a free quest and a half's worth. Otherwise archaeology is the WORST thing in the game. It's even worse than fishing because the fish don't all suddenly decide to stop spawning, making you fly around the world to catch other fish you don't want in order to fly all the way back and start fishing the right ones again.

Hate that profession so much. I want those 3 weeks of my life back...
