Manga Review: World of Warcraft: Mage {WoW}

Jun 29th 2010 8:19PM It had such a large amount of options to choose from and all you get was that? I mean really, with the re-introduction of NE mages in Cataclysm and the emergence of orc mages and dwarf mages in Cataclysm there's a large gap that Mage could have filled in. Instead they made a simple story about a nobody who's probably going to be nothing and it isn't really relevant.

But that's Knaak for you, messing up story one book at a time. They may be "good" to read (I know I liked War of the Ancients Trilogy) but Knaak really messes things up.

/headdesk

Then again, at least Knaak didn't do any real lore altering things.

Breakfast Topic: Great big pointy teefs {WoW}

Apr 24th 2010 9:46AM Ehh if anytying besides fel orcs (loved em since WC3) I'd probably say I'd want a huge variety of Undead.

I mean, there's so many possibilities with the undead that it kinda sucks that they gave them that model.

You could've had a model that was similar to the humans but you know, dead, with maybe plenty of flesh missing instead of the hunched over zombie like undead we have right now.

It also would have been appropriate to create undead rotting high elves or even trolls (there are Undead trolls after all in EP and other places) and that would have been really nice, but nope. Instead we all get hunched over zombie like undead.

Racism in arena names {WoW}

May 14th 2008 10:50PM It's like a teacher of mine once said "Everything that can be seen as discrimination against a group is discrimination."

Even though they may have done this for a joke (which I see it as) there will always be people who see it as something racially offensive as such it is removed since it COULD and clearly HAS been seen as racist.

Similar to the idea of the Swastika..... In Japan (or is it China) people are primarily Buddhist so as a result they place it on some of their lanterns since in Buddhism it is a symbol of peace (as far as I know). while in America its seen as a symbol of Antisemitism because generally most people aren't Buddhist in America so it's known more as a symbol of the Nazis as such you can't wave a Swastika in the street because it's seen as offensive here.

Forum Post of the Day: How did your undead die? {WoW}

Mar 10th 2008 8:29PM If my mage was an Rp Character I'd say his story would be something like this........Like many of the Cult of the Dammed and wannabe necromancers he enjoyed studying necromancy however one day after devising a potion for death in Dalaran he slipped and the contents of the potion spilled all over his face, killing him. When he awoke he was not Human but Undead and Dalaran was.........no longer flavour country for magic.

All the World's a Stage: Authentic class {WoW}

Feb 17th 2008 10:51PM Hmm its always interesting to hear articles on This since Currently I am trying to decide on whether to transfer my orc lock (lv50 have the 40th talent spell woohoo!) to an RP server or not.

Also for the Palidan thing yea.....that's not going to really work for a BE Pally since you know....stealing the light for their own purpose and a good amount being non believers in the Light. However you probably still could pull that off for a BE Pally......or should I say Blood Knight.

Dealing with real-life tragedy in an online world {WoW}

Jan 15th 2008 6:03PM People come people go life goes on if your guild really wants to have a memorial then keep it a private memorial if you don't you will get a funeral crashing or simply save the RL stuff for you know RL.

All the World's a Stage: The past, present and future of roleplaying {WoW}

Jan 2nd 2008 7:21PM Even in other Warcraft games RP is shrinking, like in Warcraft 3 EXP there are custom games DESIGNED for RP and you rarely ever see those anymore as for WoW well I've never really been on a RP server since my friends don't do that however I am rather interested in joining one HOWEVER by the sounds of it it looks like I might not be joining one since these realms have been invaded by non Rpers.

A world full of Death Knights {WoW}

Jan 1st 2008 12:21PM I personally am not going to roll a Death Knight because I allready have a BE 70 pally, however most ppl probably will and we will get flooded with Death Knights the good news is after a couple of months only the people who like the Death Knight shall stay while everyone else goes back to what they were before however I'd say stay away from grouping with one until then since you may get a flood of noob Death Knights who need to L2Tank.

Breakfast Topic: If warlocks could summon any demon.... {WoW}

Dec 31st 2007 11:01AM I somtimes wish locks had something similar to that of the Huntards charm pet thing when instead of learning how to summon a damm felguard and what not you go out and pick your pet personally that way you don't have to sit around with the same little imp since level 3 or 4.

Personally though I would want to summon a Dreadlord or again the mini army of Imps or really weak succubis.

Breakfast Topic: If you could change one thing... {WoW}

Dec 27th 2007 5:58PM Hmm either I would make it so that by doing a series of quests you could change your class into any of the ones your race has access to and won't be able to change it again until after 3 months or make it so that once you have completed you first end level char you can have all other characters automatically go to the end level.
