The picture says it all!
Jun 12th 2007 9:31AM If that's so, flip the map and see. What's the harm in testing the difference for a month... playing without your chokepoints for a while? ;)
Jun 2nd 2007 3:41PM Wow... I swear, people must really have no lives - I don't even have time to do solo PvE anymore!
What these guys have accomplished makes me wonder how much of a drain they are on our real society.
Mar 5th 2007 9:09AM I've played all the Warcrafts since the first one came out in the early 90's, and the games definitely give WoW a lot of its value and meaning. Like the awe of meeting Thrall (wearing the black plate armor and warhammer of the great warcrief Orgrim Doomhammer!), the Orc who helped save the Horde from corruption along with Grom Hellscream... or meeting Khadgar in Shattrath City and freaking out (because you remember playing the missions in the Warcraft II expansion with him where you were trying to stop Ner'zuhl's scheme of opening portals from Draenor with him)...
Or what about how awesome it is to be an Orc riding a Wolf, which was made popular by the strongest warriors of the Horde back in the first Warcraft?
Of course, it means you have to cringe when the lore is taken to its breaking point (extra-dimenional ship crash landing in Azeroth bringing a new race into town), or the Orcs, who fought so hard against demonic corruption to become free, honorable, and noble, having a multitude of Orc Warlocks running around in their main city...
It's enough to make a diehard Warcraft fan wince.
Jan 26th 2007 12:06PM I've seen the quest chain where Thrall wants to come to Outland, but his advisers tell him not to - how do you further the questline with the Outland orcs, and when does Thrall actaully come to Outland?
Oh, and the Khadgar thing - I flipped out when I saw him. I've been playing since the first Warcraft came out... so going through the Dark Portal was cool enoguh for me - then I ran into Shattrath and saw Khadgar, and I was amazed. Rumor has it that his buddies, Turayalon the Paladin and Danath the Footman are around too?
And seeing that Grom's legacy lives on... that is awesome. "WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE!"

Shamans being able to take 1/2 HP in one hit: Elemental shamans are deisgned for that kind of thing - large initial burst damage. Shamans are a jack-of-all-trades, master of none class.
And yes, Shamans have "pretty good" DPS - jack-of-all-trades, remember - but they cannot out-DPS a warrior.
To all in general - here's my biggest arguments for Paladins being overpowered. There is one ability they have that makes them waaaaaaaay too powerful:
The ability to make themselves invulnerable to everything, and heal themselves while they are invulnerable.
Invulnerability is a very powerful ability by itself, but being able to replenish your health while invulnerable is way too strong.
The "nerf" I would want to see for Paladins is this: take away their ability to heal while invulnerable.
If I truly hated Paladins, I'd want Invulnerability gone entirely - but to be fair, they should at least not be able to heal while invulnerable.

"Now they nerf it even further. Why? Do they want to take a class that cannot outdamage anything melee and make it further weaker?"
Paladins are a hybrid class. They should not be able to out-damage a Warrior in close combat, and they should not be able to out-heal a Priest.
"Is Blizz telling us that the only thing Pallys are good for is being a so-so priest in plate?"
A so-so Priest in plate with a major melee DPS advantage, yes.
I agree with the nerf; paladins were already overpowered in the first place. Now we just need to fix that "Pop my bubble and hearthstone out!" trick.
