Mar 28th 2012 8:36AM Valor points for questing. At first I was excited because you could get some, but GC came and said it will award very little / not as efficient. Well we'll see, if it awards 80-90% the amount that you could get from raiding (per hour), I'm fine with that. If it awards 10-20%, well then disappointing.
(for example, if a quest awards you 2 valor points, then why bother?)
Mar 27th 2012 3:29PM otherwise, why not just stick the gronn in a cave? (That sounds dirtier than I intended.)
It wasn't dirty until you said it was... and now it is...
Mar 27th 2012 10:22AM I know they didn't officially "announce" it, but saying that they'd like to do right when all the pandaria info are coming out is as good as announcing it, from the PR and marketing's perspective. It's all about managing customer expectations.
For example, I never thought new player models for old races would make it into pandaria at 5.0, nor did I think that was their intention all along. They just said they're working on it, and the timing is unrelated to all of the other news.
Bottom line, I'm not nitpicking over the actual wording of what they said, but the timing of the announcement that could be construed as a promise by the players, which sounds like bad marketing IMO.
Mar 27th 2012 10:06AM If they're not sure it would ship with Mists, why did they announce it at all? Didn't they learn the lesson from dance studio?
Mar 26th 2012 11:23PM It's still fun. Imagine how easy warlocks can solo old content now, pingponging the boss between VW and demo boss
Mar 26th 2012 3:10PM I think the majority of reasons why people are impatient in beta testing is that leftover attitude from live server where each instance should be "done in 15 minutes or that means the group is fail."
Well, that attitude might be justifiable in live server where you're trying to advance your characters and the progress is saved. But remember, at the end of beta, your progress is wiped, and you go back to your level 85 live character. So it doesn't matter if you run 50 runs or 100 runs during beta, that character that accumulates a ton of JP/VP will soon be wiped anyway.
Mar 26th 2012 12:52PM I don't want to sound complaining or whiny, but I thought they shouldn't release a beta before it's semi-playable. Wasn't this the case with Wrath and Cata beta? You can at least play through it, even if things in there eventually change, or even buggy. It's a beta, we'd understand. You shouldn't just "close" it to the beta testers. I wonder why they're doing it differently this time. It feels like this beta is rushed out the door just to "make it happen" and time it well with the press event.
Mar 23rd 2012 1:26PM They do look too big, but I like the fact that it's not symmetric. Seems like they're taking the S11 paladin gladiator design on asymmetric giant shoulders and pushed it a bit further
Mar 23rd 2012 11:27AM Question:
What's a good website / tools / addons to plan your transmogging set?
I know wowhead has some transmog sets readily available, but those are things that are part of the same "graphic art" in the game file. Sometimes I've seen people put together their pieces here and there and they look amazingly great even if they weren't part of the same "set." The problem with the dressing room feature in game is sometimes you don't even have the items, or know where to farm which items. Ability to view how it would look on your gender / race would be a big plus.
Mar 23rd 2012 11:18AM Can I just say that I love your outfit and possibly would be gathering it for my xmog set as well?
