Breakfast Topic: Best 2v2 team {WoW}

Feb 15th 2007 11:31AM My fried has a shadow priest he's going to be leveling since his pally is 70, and we had been planning the Lock/Shadow Priest 2v2 team for a while. Seems like in all World PvP situations we never had any problems taking down multiple hordies.

The end of WoW {WoW}

Feb 12th 2007 3:40PM Too many unknowns to call a final boss. However, Blizz will most likely come out with WoW 2 (new server backend and engine) before ending the lifecycle of our characters. I'd say they've got a good 20 years left in the game if they truly want to stretch it out.

Kirby, Ice Climber, and Kid Icarus reunite on Wii Virtual Console {Joystiq}

Feb 12th 2007 10:34AM Splitting hairs here, but by the time Kirby's Adventure joined the fray, the Game Boy was created. Just a thought.

Breakfast Topic: What's the noobist thing you've ever done? {WoW}

Feb 12th 2007 9:17AM Ah, the feeling of utter shame that results in throwing a DoT on the trapped/sapped/sheeped mob by accident...

Also, I learned fairly early on in a Sunken Temple run that tabbing through enemies to throw DoTs is a bad decision...how was I to know I had targeted a mob in that other group of four in the corner? My name in the guild is now "Nubix."

Breakfast Topic: What's in a name? {WoW}

Feb 12th 2007 9:12AM Datix, my level 66 warlock main is just my handle (or screen name for the kids out there) that I've had for a while.

I really like my Draenei shaman alt's name, Xunian. I used the built-in random name generator and got Xuni, but thought it needed the "an" :-P

Breakfast Topic: Outlands at 58? {WoW}

Feb 8th 2007 8:52AM Being a bit of a latecomer to WoW, I was level 56 on my warlock when BC hit. I worked my way to 58 as quickly as I could and was there the day after everyone else. As a lock, it was a great decision. I burned to 60 in no time. I would recommend it to classes that solo well, but can't speak for warriors, etc.

Oh, and in case you wondered about my gear...it sucked. I was wearing 3 pieces of my T.5 blues and some shadoweave gear. It's defintely doable at 58 for the warlock class. (cue cries of "OVERPOWARD!!!1)

Ding! 70! {WoW}

Feb 7th 2007 9:36AM Just a tip -- if you're picking a quest reward to vendor trash, have auctioneer installed. While some people don't like this addon, it does have the benefit of telling you the Sell to Vendor price on mouseover. Sometimes one of the rewards could net you 2+ gold over the other items when vendoring. :)

Eu moves, end of January edition {WoW}

Jan 29th 2007 2:54PM This is all well and good for EU players, but here in the US, I'd still appreciate more transfers being opened. Granted, I don't know the state of the EU infrastructure, so it could be a lot worse than the state of the US servers.

Until then, I will remain on Magtheridon (which I must say has started to stabilize lately).

Mario Kart 64 and Contra III join tardy Genesis games on VC Monday {Joystiq}

Jan 29th 2007 11:57AM Frankly, the trolling is pointless and responding to them is even worse. That said...

We should all be thanking Nintendo for finally starting to trickle out some of our favorite classics. Link to the Past, Mario Kart 64, and Contra III are three of the games I bought the Wii hoping to get. I'm glad to see that we're finally getting some of the stronger titles here in the US. Personally though, the most anticipated game on my list is Super Mario RPG. I never got a chance at that one back in the day and have always wanted to try it out. I'd like to see that and Super Metroid come out soon and I'll really climb aboard this Virtual Console train! :)
