Aug 14th 2010 12:31AM That's interesting, cause the Jamaican Patois/Creole and the Jamaican English, which the WoW Troll accent is most likely based on, is actually heavily influenced by the English and Irish accents. Also, Jamaica's geographical placing in Latin America together with a lot of Spanish speaking countries contribute to the unavoidable influences therein.
Thought it was interesting you picked that up.
Jul 19th 2010 3:19PM That's why I specifically said it's the best system if handled right.
My guild has been using Loot Council for several years without any problems.
We value attendance, performance and how much of an upgrade the item in question provides when deciding who should get it.
We make sure all our members accept the fact that gear is not a reward - it's a tool to aid the guild as a whole to progress further, and thus we've never had any "drama" related to loot distribution.
If everyone is "on the same page" on this, it is by far the best loot system.
Jul 18th 2010 10:39PM The problem with loot distribution systems that depend on loot to drop to affect the "currency" is that progression raids (such as raids where you wipe for several evenings without any loot dropping) either become too unrewarding or resultinging in inflation of the points in the system, depending on which parameters you choose.
It's extremely difficult to balance it out as there's no way to tell how easily you will progress in a new instance, and in all honesty, it is early on when new content is released that loot distribution means the most.
The only fair system, if handled right, is Loot Council.
