Mar 22nd 2011 12:16PM I hate Grim Batol when tanking, but don't mind it so much when I'm DPSing. Place still has a depressing atmosphere, though.
Mar 22nd 2011 12:11PM @Elmouth Some of us have been grinding for a scorpion. And those don't make ANY sense flying.
Mar 21st 2011 5:02AM Q for the Q:
With all the heroic instance remakes (particularly of the Zul' variety), there is one that has been forgotten: Zul'Farrak. This has to be one of my favorite instances, partly because of the lore behind the place, but also the epic weapon Sul'thraze the Lasher. I want to see a heroic remake of this weapon and area! Has Blizzard revealed any intentions to remake this dungeon into an 85 heroic?
Mar 17th 2011 1:45PM Just want to add somethings to your heroic and raid tank guidelines.
The tank must be confident and have a thick skin. There will always be the idiot DPS who think that your tanking is not good enough. There will be the bad healer that goes oom every fight because they are firing off their biggest heals, then blame the tank for the wipes. Over. And over. And over.
Take advice from other tanks. Contrary to popular DF healer belief, having gear, gems, and enchants that give you stamina and another stat (i.e. Parry, Block, Dodge), is not stamina stacking.
Know your class. DKs and bears do not use Block, which is very good for the other two tanking classes. I don't think bears use parry either (do they? I have no idea.). DK dual-wield tanking, while some argue is viable, is not viable. Please don't ever try and DK tank while Dual-wielding.
Finally, know your spec. Elitist Jerks forums are great for finding the most optimal spec, and sometimes there are choices between several decent builds. Yes, you can remove some points from your least favorite or used talents, but don't change everything around unless you know it will work. This ties in with the other points, as most heroic PUGs are generally not going to let you experiment with different builds and styles.
:D Wall of text is over now. You can stop reading.
Mar 16th 2011 12:20PM A walrus. That is all.
Mar 14th 2011 2:54PM If you have a DK in your raid, it is unneeded as Frost Fever does that as a normal effect. Any of the specs should be able to keep it up, as Unholy does plenty of damage with diseases, Frost has Rime procs and Howling Blast, and Blood should keep it up as much as possible, as they're a tank, and 20% decreased attack speed is awesome for tanks and healer mana. If you don't, then it's fine to take it, but if you do have one in your regular raid group, I would say don't bother picking it up.
Mar 14th 2011 2:39PM My main is a Tauren DK, and I only do quests for Garrosh with contempt. True, they are required to move on in some zones, but he killed my main's leader, unknowingly or not, and my favorite leader and NPC of all time!
Mar 14th 2011 2:22PM Q for the Queue.
What is the weirdest ice cream flavor ever?
Mar 14th 2011 2:19PM WTB edit button...
What I'm trying to say is that Blizzard seems to have chosen a single spell that seems to be unique to each class and had that character use its animation on the selection screen.
Mar 14th 2011 2:17PM No, my Night Elf Combat/sub rogue does the animation for Mutilate, which is only available through Assassination, and my feral/balance druid does the animation for a 2 second cast time healing spell.
