Dec 31st 2010 7:09PM Hey, Al'Akir! Crom laughs at your Four Winds!
Oct 21st 2010 3:27PM Oddly enough, the first time I saw Ironforge.
My first character was a Draenei Mage, and since I came in at the very end of BC the Draenei zones were basically deserted. I'd seen two, maybe three other players in my whole experience, which made me wonder how WoW earned the MMO classification. My leveling buddy, who had played since Vanilla, told me things would pick up once we hit the Eastern Kingdoms. This gave me a spark of hope, and the whole time we were leveling through Azuremyst and Bloodmyst, it was always my ultimate goal to get to the far off "Eastern Kingdoms" and finally see another soul. Once we had finished the epic Bloodmyst questline, we hopped the boat and headed to Menethil Harbor.
Aaaaand thus started the horrifying death run through the Wetlands. I once again became discouraged (I can only be eaten by so many Crocolisks), but my buddy reminded me; "Hey, once we get through here and Loch Modan, we'll hit Ironforge." Ironforge started becoming built up in my mind as some amazing place full of people and adventure. I gritted my teeth and continued hoofing through Murlocs, spiders, Orcs, Troggs, and everything else. I was a Spacegoat on a mission.
And finally, after trudging through the snow of Dun Murogh, my buddy said "We're here." I looked up and saw the gates of Ironforge, Dwarven guards patrolling it, the first strains of music reaching my ears. I honestly feel like if it wasn't for that sight, I wouldn't be playing this game. I still smile every time I see those gates.
Sep 16th 2010 5:20PM I personally recommend using Braxley's Backyard Moonshine for any achievement that involves being "completely smashed". It gets you there instantly, and at the end of the buff you will be completely sober. The sobriety even applies if you were already drunk BEFORE using the trinket.

SO VERY THIS.
I have literally never had threat problems with any other class. (Ret Paladins who forget and leave Righteous Fury on notwithstanding.)
