Jan 16th 2012 9:22AM The GF sounds like a very selfish person. If a schedule is agreed upon for a 10 man group, 1 person cannot then demand to change that arrangement. And the fact she is using her BFs rank to get her own way (whilst inconveniencing the 9 other people) just sounds like bad news to me. If the guild leader gives in to her demands I say go and form another guild because this will not be a one-off thing.
Jul 17th 2011 7:36AM I think some sort of warrior monk type class would be pretty cool and would be well suited to a healing tree (and also tank and/or melee DPS) with the potential to do something new and interesting.
Jun 3rd 2011 8:48AM I think all profs should get at least one mount. In particular I always thought that JC should get a mount recipe in much the same vein as the figurines - a crystal dragon or some such would be great and it fits in with the prof.
Jun 1st 2011 5:32AM I also have found little use for HW. My main role is tank healing, and although HW is very mana efficient, tanks take more damage than HW can cope with so I rely on GHW with RT (ES is always up of course). I occasionally chuck a HW on othe raid members if RT is on CD, but if the spell didn't exist I'm not sure I would miss it.
I'm finding that shammys are comparable with other healing classes, especially with recent updates such as the increased mastery and Spirit Link totem :)
Apr 20th 2011 4:30AM Another good tip in high damage fights is to NOT keep your party topped up. Wait until they hit around 50% health before you heal so you gain the beenfit of your deep healing. The exact amount amount can be higher or lower depending on how fast the damage is coming in but you soon get a "feel" for it.
This can take a little getting used to as pre-cata I always liked to see everyone's green bar at max, but by healing this way you are getting more bang for your buck giving bigger heals and using less mana - in big fights this can mean the difference between going OOM or lasting the duration.
I generally tank heal and as others have mentioned I tend to keep riptide going, but other than that, for single target heals I use GHW almost exlcusively unless they need an emergency HS - HW just doesn't cut it. If you can spare the time of your GCD then popping Unleash Elements adds a nice boost to your heal and used on GHW will give you some nice big heals :)
Dec 23rd 2010 8:22AM Another vote here for player and/or guild housing :) Its the only major thing missing from the game IMO. However, due to the lack of real estate on Azeroth, I doubt we will ever see proper player houses/settlements etc. Some sort of instanced guild halls would work though, maybe getting different ranked Guild Hall perks as the guild levels and other perks to furnish/style it.
I also think it would be cool if jewel crafters could make pets, a bit like figurines but actual companions - they would go solid when you are not moving, then animate when you are on the move.
Nov 16th 2010 6:14AM I for one like the new raid model, as it comes down to a choice of whether you prefer 10 man or 25 man, and it no longer excludes smaller guilds from better loot just because they lack the players (often due to RL commitments).
I for one have always preferred 10 man raids because I feel like I'm making more of a contribution - if someone dies in a 10 man it usually has a greater impact than a death in 25 mans. And if that does happen the rest of the team really have to focus to take up the slack, which can often make it fight more exciting ;)
I'm sure some will disagree with this but at the end of the day it now comes down to personal preference, which surely is what it should be about? (i.e. what is fun for the players involved). 25 mans still offfer better rewards per player so there is still an incentive beyond the fun of actually doing it.
For me raiding is about fun and progression - loot is just a product of that to enable raids to progress to the next raid. Sure, its great to get new loot but if I go into a raid not expecting to win anything then when I do its a bonus :)
Oct 17th 2010 5:57AM On resto Shammy I found healing much better than before the patch. My healing used to be equal with our priest but I on average I'm now doing roughly twice as much healing, which I think is largely due to chain heal being more effective (both in number of targets and HP spread with the glyph). However, some of that may well have been overhealing but I didn't really check.
Mana was simply not an issue - my mana bar rarely dropped at all and the priest was the same.
Got Healing Wave & Greater healing Wave mixed up a few times since the icon for the old lesser healing wave is now greater healing wave but got used to it after a while.
I don't use any add ons (yes I'm in the minority there but my healing does not suffer because of it) so didn't have a problem in that department but I do really like the new raid frames - made it a lot easier, esp being able to see incoming heals :)
Jul 31st 2010 5:58AM I think its great that WoWTCGLoot.com have donated these prizes. Really hoping for the mount to add to my collection :)
