Like how you forget that Oil Ocean in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is coming up and then you see the title for it and go 'Oh! God I forgot about this one! I hate this place!'
Apr 20th 2011 9:04PM Who would win in a fight between the Skynet computer and GLaDOS? They're both allowed to use all of thier units and areas at thier disposle so Skynet can use the T1000 and GLaDOS can use Turrets and confusing tests.
Apr 17th 2011 8:43AM Gotta love the Draenei, despite everything they've got a leader who's been in charge for, what, over 25 thousand years now? The other leaders should take tips from him on how not to be usurped.
Apr 4th 2011 2:15PM This article is useful but doesn't cover something I've come across more than once in RP which is the 'Quiter'. Someone who is involved in a storyline with you, maybe even having a pivitol role, then they decide they simply don't want to do that story anymore so drop out. It would be fine to say that they were dead or missing but what do you do when that person is still playing that character and playing them as if the storyline you were working on never happened?
What do you do then?
If this person is IC saying it never happened it's difficult or impossible for you to still claim that it did IC. That kind of leaves you dead in the water, with possible months of RP storylines leading up to and including whatever you were doing null and void, suddenly they never happened because someone else says they didn't.
This has been my biggest problem with WoW RPing. So often the RP's die simply because one or more people get bored or whatever and it leaves you hanging.
Mar 23rd 2011 11:08AM Question for the Queue: Why is it whenever I buy my cats a new bed or toy they sleep on the old carpet and prefer screwed up bits of paper to chase?
Mar 19th 2011 6:41PM Why do you all have a problem with Rhonin? He's a great character. I can't say that I've ever thought of him being a Gary Stu, he just doesn't fit the perfect profile, and the 'can do no wrong' type just isn't him. He didn't choose to be a hero, Korialstraz kinda made him one. If it weren't for the Red Rhonin would still be a self-serving bastard. Even with the manipulation of Krasus though Rhonin isn't perfect, far from it. The Mary Sue or Gary Stu has to be a perfect character, one that every person of the opposite gender wants to be with and every person of the same gender wants to be. I think both terms are flung around at characters far too much.
Rhonin is a reluctant hero who, even with Krasus proding, doesn't want to step out and have to do anything. Even after he helped Krasus once he didn't want to do so again, wanting then what was best for his children and wife nothing more, still self-serving in a manner. The only reason he went up against Deathwing at all was to ensure that his wife and children actually existed, if not for them he wouldn't have been so motivated, which is the same for any of us really and no real person is a Mary Sue or Gary Stu.
Makes me wonder of many of his haters have actually read the books with him in and not simply gone 'Knakk? Ewww..I don't think so' /bin.
Mar 11th 2011 1:26PM Just a little info for those that know little about gender, but biologically gender is decided upon more than simply your chromozones, there are many layers and levels that decide if you are male or female or intersex (previously known as hermaphrodites). There is also more than two combinations of chromozones, more than just XX and XY. With this in mind trans-gender people may well be those who's chromozones say one thing but biologically another part of them says another, it's not necessarily something a person just thinks or feels but someway they were born, something biolocial.
I havn't read all of the comments so I appologise if this information has been presented before now.
Mar 1st 2011 6:00PM Is this a Horde only scenario? If it is my two Horde toons will need some work.
Feb 27th 2011 10:02PM I'm sorry to say but I don't think this was a very good article. It basicly took a whole article to say, Garona is half Draenei/half Orc, she wanted Cho'Gall dead, thought he was, realised he wasn't, then went missing. You repeated yourself over and over, saying the same things but in a different way.
Feb 20th 2011 4:18PM I would bring up one point here, about the Draenei/Orc pairings. You say in the article that it's unlikely as they were at war but the war didn't happen right away, not for some time in fact. Long enough for the Orc's to believe the ship the Draenei arrived in was actually an ancient mountain of thiers.
Still it's unlikely as a combination as both races kept to themselves but not as unlikely as this article describes.
