Nov 16th 2008 9:00PM wow, me too! what a strange coincidence this is...
anyway, my tauren rides a wolf, and my troll an undead horsey.
problem solved :)
Jul 9th 2008 1:18AM that's the UD succubus quest. you should do the Orc one. it's safer (only in Barrens and Stonetalon), and the storyline is not evil though kinda sad.
Jun 4th 2008 1:20AM @Schadow:
if you need a dozen people to convince you on why you should raid, you obviously have no idea why you're still playing this game. in which case, pls. uninstall wow and enjoy the summer.
May 21st 2008 12:58AM AoC looks kinda hardcore. If anything, it may draw a number of hardcore players.
This could be good. Perhaps it will give a clue to Blizzard to stop making content that only 5% of the playerbase can see. Look Blizz, a slice of those 5% just left for something more hardcore than WoW. Now how about throwing us a bone here?
Apr 14th 2008 12:46AM i see i'm not alone in this one...
i've been experiencing this one the entire week too. wow is incredibly laggy, but when i surf or download it's fast as always.
so it's blizz's problem. i almost thought of calling up my ISP and screaming at them. thank God i saw this thread.
i guess i'll be getting some little R&R until this is fixed...
Mar 28th 2008 2:35AM I've tried it. Killed a dozen shattered rumblers in Nagrand. Then killed 10 enraged crushers. Not a single drop.
It would've been great for miners if "mining" the mobs, like the earth elementals in Nagrand, actually drop the nether residue.
Mar 17th 2008 1:27AM To some extent, I agree with the post.
I started playing 4 months before BC. Before I got a chance to raid, I was always in awe by the raiders and their gear. Waiting at the zep tower, standing next to a fully T2/AQ40 geared toon while wearing your blues and greens is a... humbling experience.
And yes, it did inspire me to want to raid. And eventually I did get that chance.
I still remember my first time in ZG, my first time to face Hakkar. My hands were shaking. I was thinking, "OMG, 750K HP! How the heck are we going to kill this guy??!!"
I also remember my first time inside MC. Just being there with 39 other people. Fighting monsters that take 40 people to kill. The feeling was incredible.
There was a sense of mystery and wonderment back then. Like there's something more out there. Something beyond your BRD's and your Dire Maul's. There is a greater war being waged. With bigger and deadlier monsters. And bigger, better rewards. And these raiders are proof of that.
What can I say? I was a real noob back then. And WoW was the first MMO that I played.
But now, with everyone wearing epics, I guess that sense of wonder has diminished a bit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those "bring back the old days" kind of guy. Gearing up was brutal back then. It's either raid or nothing. And PVP? Ha! Talk about being steamrolled by players in raid gear...
But I like how BC is turning out. It's easier to gear up. There's plenty of options. Raid, heroics, BG or Arena. And it's way easier to earn gold.
The magic isn't gone. But it has diminished. Maybe it's better to stay a noob, where everything is mysterious and legendary...
Mar 7th 2008 1:34AM my idea of 2H devastate is a deep Prot alternative for Imp. Slam. For soloing/farming purposes. Same when dual-wielding.
I wouldn't dare tanking an instance with a 2H. Well, maybe if I'm way overgeared for it.
Mar 6th 2008 11:26PM How about this:
Make Whirlwind usable in Def stance.
When used in Def stance, it does damage. PLUS, it applies a sunder armor effect.
Hellooo ez-mode AOE tanking!
Oh, and another one:
When dual-wielding, make Devastate attack with both weapons.
Heck, make Devastate work with 2H weapons.
Helps with prot grinding.
Mar 5th 2008 12:01AM no one's forcing any of you to blow your hard-earned badges for the gems.
if you need them, buy them. if you don't, then don't.
it's your badges, your gold, your call.
