The surreal concept of neutrality in Warcraft {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 4:47PM I understand that the elves have had a bit of a rough ride with humans before, but this conversation would essentially be moot if Anduin Lothar was still alive or had had children as the elves owed allegiance to the Arathi bloodline, quite simply they would never have left the alliance just based on that. Additionally, at the end of the Burning Crusade, it is Velen, not any member of the horde, who restores the sunwell for the Blood Elves, thus halting their slow descent into corruption from using fel energies.

As for the Tauren, camp taurajo was not meant to play out the exact way it did, but beyond that it was not the horde that helped Baine recapture and secure Thunder Bluff after his father's death (at the hands of Garrosh - yeah his weapon was poisoned but regardless it was a duel to the death) it was Jaina, not to mention the connection made between Baine and Anduin Wrynn while the whole scenario transpired. It's hard not to see the horde right now as a weak coalition of semi-willing members, it would not take much at this point in my opinion to really fracture the horde.

The surreal concept of neutrality in Warcraft {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 12:37PM I actually had this conversation with my wife the other day. Some neutral factions are a bit of a joke right now - no one can tell me that if it was real life that the cenarion circle and argent crusade would not be at war with the horde right now. Granted, their main beef would be with the orcs/goblins and undead respectively, but it takes quite a bit of suspended disbelief to make it through some quest zones atm. Slightly off topic, honestly what are blood elves and tauren doing in the horde right now anyhow? They'd be more of a fit in the alliance from where I stand.

Know Your Lore: 5 must-do Alliance zones to complete before Mists {WoW}

Mar 18th 2012 7:13PM Duskwood was amazing pre-cata, still is a great zone but the sense of danger is gone. Duskwood was a masterpiece in that as soon as you left Darkshire there were many ways a poor noob could meet their demise, each as gruesome as the next. I remember always being glad to see someone else nearby when I was questing there. Creepy, dark, and dangerous, fun times for sure.

Breakfast Topic: Are sexy transmog sets OK in your raid group? {WoW}

Mar 17th 2012 9:37AM I saw a female dwarf in a very revealing outfit once and thought it looked pretty darn good, maybe I'm just crazy though. :-P

3 things that need to change about WoW's auction house {WoW}

Mar 16th 2012 10:05AM Part of the problem there, in my opinion, is that in Cata blizzard went the wrong way. All of the sudden it makes a million leather to make a crafted piece, gems of any type are a pain in the butt to come by - the JC daily takes 3 gems now when it used to take 2, and you get less gems when you prospect than you used to with saronite... I really don't know what they were thinking but with a lot of crafting it feels like they just made it harder - well what do you expect is going to happen when you do that? *headslap*

Hi, remember me? I've been here since 2004 {WoW}

Mar 9th 2012 2:26PM I agree as well, and for all the people who use the example of utilities and such it's not always true. I just cancelled my satellite television after about 7 or 8 years of continuous service and they were so keen on keeping me that I was offered a 30% discount on my monthly bill as well as a free HD PVR, and they were calling me about twice a day for 2 weeks to convince me to take them up on the offer. So Blizz could throw long-timers like us a bone at low to no cost for them and it'd really ease up on the whining I guarantee it.

Heroic Madness on 7 hours a week -- the shape of guilds to come? {WoW}

Mar 1st 2012 10:36AM Nice to see there are some true casual guilds out there able to knock out some content. Being all growed up myself with wife, kids and job I'd love to be able to do hardmodes myself but it always comes down to schedule. You can take the raider out of a raid but you can't take the raid out of a raider. Nice work all!
