Apr 2nd 2012 4:32PM Perhaps it's also a question of definitions? I haven't logged in on my main for almost a month now; between starting a new death knight and getting two alts to 85 within a couple of weeks of each other, I've just had loads of fun stuff to do.
My main has the 100 mounts and 150 minipets achievements, she has Explorer, Loremaster, etc., and she's got all the gear I can get for her without hitting regular raids. Until Mists, I don't have much to do on her aside from dailies, which, ugh. So my army of alts is getting leveled, geared and so on. But my main will still be my main, even if I don't touch her for months.
I guess what I'm asking is--what defines the new main as your new main? Is it just that you're playing it more? If so, my level 76 DK is my new main... Or do you actively say "I'm switching mains now"?
Feb 20th 2012 11:32AM Apparently (or so I've been told) xmog costs are based at least in part on the purchase cost of the item you're "hiding". Since the staff, shoulders and chest cost you no gold, the xmog cost is low--the helmet on the other hand cost you over 1k gold.
I'm not sure that's the explanation, but it makes sense, doesn't it?
