Sexual dimorphism in Cataclysm {WoW}

Dec 13th 2010 7:31PM I´ve always thought that the problem with wow aesthetics it´s not that the females are too slim (althought they do have to much breasts and hips/butt), but that the males are too big.

So, if it were for me I wouldn´t make the females uglier, but the males "prettier".

Breakfast Topic: What class would you like to see added to the game? {WoW}

Oct 15th 2010 10:45AM Runemaster

It could be a DPS/Healer Hybrid (or perhaps, even Tank) based on the placement of Runes for middle-combat usage

There would be a limit of runes he can place on a specific target of 3 or so. The runes wouldn´t have and inmediate effect, but they´d be activated by the caster at any moment.

A healer runemaster would place Healing Runes which would heal, shield or buff their target when activated, and a dps runemaster would place Damaging Runes, which would damage, debuff or control (stun/interrupt/silence/whatever) their target when activated. And so on.

A good runemaster would have to known when to place and when to activate a rune.

Of course they could have "normal" spells also, to complement rune usage.

Guest Post: Confessions of a noob death knight {WoW}

Sep 11th 2010 6:53PM The most frustrating thing about Melee DPS (for me at least) is the beginning of a boss fight, when everybody pops CDs and you are not only surrounded by other 5 guys with glowing hands and auras, but there are also trees and ghouls bringing my FPS down to laggy levels and I can´t keep track of everything because I just don´t see.

I really need a new computer >.

Drama Mamas: When a guildie does something abhorrent {WoW}

Sep 11th 2010 6:50PM I apologize for my typing and grammar, but English is not my main language and my keyboard It´s also diferent. You´ll notice that I use a diferent symbol for abbreviations (or whatever they are called) because my keyboard does not have that symbol.

Second, what I meant was more about your cultural and social environment than a psychological issue. By example, if you live in the country and see cows, pigs, sheeps and turkeys get butchered constantly, rabbits getting hunt and some of your animals actually get killed by some of your other animals (dogs usually get in trouble), then that sympathy just doesn´t develop in the same way.

It also depends on which part of the world you live. Indians and cows are the clearest example, but there are many others. Many countries don´t even have laws to protect animals (I would actually think, most of them don´t).

Now, don´t think I´m actually defending animal cruelty or something like that, what I point at it´s that people feel diferent towards diferent things or topics and that you hardly can make someone feel the same way you do. You can best them at a debate or make a better argument, but not everything is about logic or reason.

Sep 10th 2010 8:31PM Actually, caring for animals it´s something people adquire as a behavior or sentiment at some point in their lifes and as much as you find it absolutly rational and sensitive that one must fend for their pets (or any animals for that matter), there´s people that simply don´t feel empathy towards them just as there is people that don´t empathizes towards other human beings

I for example don´t feel empathy towards animals, and while I do have a pet (a cat) and I do take care of it, at the same time I just don´t feel emotionally affected by animal cruelty. For some reason it doesn´t get to me the way it gets to others

So, whenever talking about this kind of subjects, keep in mind that there´re people that don´t feel empathy for animals, so they´re not going to get sad or moved because of animal cruelty, but they´ll possibly going to feel attacked if you question their sentiments and/or way of thinking, just as most people do, and unless you can find a common thought you´ll never get to an agreement
