Jan 14th 2012 12:29PM I feel like Zara is an extension of myself....like I took part of my personality and blew it up and created a character out of it. I will often lose myself in playing her.....but as far as referring to her, if it's a characteristic that I share, I will say "I" and if it's one that is different than me, I'll refer to her in the third person. Like, "sorry, I don't know this dungeon very well" is first person and could be her speaking as well, but "Zara needs this piece of gear because her trinket is crap" is 3rd because I personally don't need gear, she does. OR: "I like to collect pets" (we both do) but "Zara needs to find every single archeology rare becuase its her obsession" . Maybe that's not quite accurate, because I obsess too....

Breakfast Topic: What WoW title would you choose in real life? {WoW}

Jan 10th 2012 2:55PM Probably something scholarly like Professor, the Seeker, or Loremaster. I rock Professor on my main because her day job is Archeology and that is the highest Arch title. The one I worked the hardest for though is Loremaster (PRE-Cata) or Exalted, and Seeker just sounds cool.

As I have seven kids and homeschool though, my husband would say that I should have the title, the Patient.

Drama Mamas: The etiquette of AFKing in a group or raid {WoW}

Jan 9th 2012 7:59PM I agree here. this my protocol as well, finish the fight, say, "BRB kid problem", take care of it, come back. The difference is i have 7 kids, and I usually already have one on my lap and my husband is playing too. ONE of us has to take care of it, and anything that I can foresee me needing to take care of, like a toddler needing a snack or a diaper, or s movie started, I take care of everything I can beforehand. We do not play until after the older ones are in bed but we do play, every night nearly: this is our standing date, this is our downtime, and yes I get to play an instance every now and then. Now I am 3/4 of the time playing ranged dps, so if I miss a trash pull no big deal. If I happen to be playing my healer, I do the instance alone and husband is charge of any kid emergency and I take extra care to not have any interruptions, as i'm more in charge of whether we wipe or not. And I don't think I've ever run out on a boss fight excpet for a second then right back in.

All i'm saying is, take every reasonable precaution, but people should be patient as well for emergencies. Real life always first.

The Queue: Morshed Khan the sitar player {WoW}

Dec 24th 2011 1:37PM Husband and I knew that we would be low on RL funds this year, so we got each other Winter's Veil gifts int he game. he got me several pets that i wanted (i collect them): Guardian cub, shimmering wyrmling,deweaponized mechanical rabbit thing, and an enchanted lantern (now I ahve the one from both factions). He even designed a scavenger hunt type game for me to guess the shimmering wyrmling :). I got him a Masterwork elementium deathblade (he was in the process of making one but hadn't got everything yet) and I leveled his archeology for him. I spent 4 hours a couple nights ago getting him to the point where he had the raptor mount (which was his main goal).

Nohting will top a couple years ago though when I spent 5 weeks grinding mats and gold to get him a Mekgineer's bike made. that was back when it was tougher to get that much gold gathered, so I worked my butt off.
