Mar 14th 2012 5:22PM It utterly baffles me why they would show off such beautiful models and scenery to have these guys wielding low res weapons. Kinda spoils it.
Jan 29th 2012 5:03AM This! A thousand times f$*king this! This is so infuriating and prevalent in bgs I run that it's actually become a running gag with my brother and best friend over skype to just shout out "this is such a LOOSE" over anything.
How can people honestly not see it's a totally different word!
Sep 2nd 2011 5:21PM You make alot of good points here.
My friend was complaining a lot about balance pvp so I decided to dust off my old druid to give it a go for a challenge, as I play some of the stronger specs in pvp, (Resto Shaman etc).
And I have to agree with you about the control, wild mushrooms are just fantastic when used creatively. As well as that, a root and solar beam combo, when combined with quick timing of skull bash, chain cyclone and typhoon for interrupting, has to be the longest I've ever been able to take a healer out of a fight. Something around a good 15-20 seconds.
However I would say that balance is more of a support role in normal battlegrounds. I haven't had the pleasure of RBGs but have played normal BGs and also arena. There's something instictual about attacking the moonkin, and I got trained a lot. When I fought people 1v1, it always felt like a losing battle. However when I was in the background, unmolested, I was pulling all the strings. I felt it wasn't a trade off that was worth it however.
Sorry for the essay :-)
Aug 9th 2011 11:22AM Why isn't Shadowfang Keep voiced like The Deadmines is? They were both given revamps.
Plus would it be against the TOS to make an addon that gives them voices?
Jul 20th 2011 1:28AM "You keep that closed-minded extremist shit out of my WoWinsider."
SR, Christwire is actually a tongue in cheek satirical website on just such extremists. It's just very convincing most of the time. :p
There's an article on there titled "World of Warcraft to Release Justin Bieber Expansion in August" if you don't believe me.
Jun 15th 2011 11:19AM "I think it's unlikely that we'll see an update to that gear, but you never really know with Blizzard. I don't recall them updating the gear from Wintergrasp in Wrath of the Lich King..."
They did infact, all the way up to iLvL 251. Whilst they were only one piece of PvP gear per iLvL gap they certainly did update the vendors.

Apr 4th 2011 1:30PM Question for The Queue: You mentioned in one of your previous WoW Insider Podcasts that Deathwing was now the self proclaimed "Aspect of Death".
I always thought this was Deathwing just bigging himself up because he's killed loads of people, both directly and indirectly (via the Twilight's Hammer etc).
If he now has some kind of new power over death, who gave him this power? How does this extend beyond him just killing a lot of people?
Mar 10th 2011 10:34AM Dreyja, whilst I agree he's an interesting character and fairly well written, I just don't understand the fascination with him.
I respect that other people's opinions may differ (which didn't save my other post from getting downrated anyway), but I can't see anything that makes him stand out from any other character with an average amount of plot development, like Koltira or Akama, to list examples from previous expansions.
Could someone explain this?
Mar 9th 2011 1:17PM After reading up about him being the "new Saurfang" I was really excited. Having played through the Worgen area now I'm fairly disappointed.
Yeah cleaving with bare fists was fairly cool, but it wasn't awe inspiring, if you weren't looking out for it you'd probably miss it. He plays a decent role after that part but it certainly leaves me wondering why people have this opinion of him.
One other thing, his voice acting isn't great either. There's certainly been worse, but to limit a supposedly large character to two phrases? It sounded like the voice actor was fairly disinterested. Not to say every character has to be frothing at the mouth screaming "FAWH GIL NEY ASS!", but a bit more spirit could've helped.
I enjoyed how he fit into the Worgen starting zone as a whole however, and as always people are free to oppose my opinion.
Feb 18th 2011 11:32AM IDes, the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth was the gold sink of WotLK. Much in the way that the Sandstone Drake has now completely replaced the Mechano-hog (excluding battlegrounds).
Having asked around on the forums It's the general consensus amongst the players, and whilst I'm not 100% on this I think there was also a blue post confirming it, that the mammoth won't be updated for Cata. You had all of Wrath to enjoy the mammoth, but much like epics, it outdates.
As a proud owner of the mammoth I raged pretty hard but consider this, with flying in Azeroth and travel being so convenient these days, accessing a vendor for food or repairs is no longer the hassle it used to be.
