Dec 4th 2010 12:17PM As far as I know, Dungeon set 1 is gone too, since the level range was changed for Strat and Scholo. I spent almost two solid days trying to farm up two D1 sets (one to keep and one to upgrade to D2) while working through the D2 upgrade quest line from the beginning. I made it all the way through the questline and during the wee hours before the patch hit, I was only missing the chest piece. My boyfriend and I killed General Drakkisath til he finally gave it up an hour before the servers went down, then I ran out of UBRS and upgraded that sucker.
I really regret not starting the grind sooner because I didn't quite finish my second set. The Magister's set looks really cool and I'm missing the head and chest. But I am the prowd owner of Sorcerer's Regalia :)
Nov 16th 2010 11:58AM The questline in the Plaguelands where you read Mrs. Dalson's Diary. It's about a woman who realizes that her husband has caught the plague, so she locks him in the outhouse. But she needs money to escape the Plaguelands and start over, and all their valuables are locked in a wardrobe that only her husband has the key to. She ends up turning into a skeleton, still carrying the key to the outhouse where she locked her husband who is now a Scourge monster. I always thought that she shouldn't be hostile toward players, I hated to kill her after getting caught up in her story and what it must have been like to know that the person you love is going to turn on you.

I see why you've been downvoted into oblivion, but I follow your logic. Male raiders recruit female, do stupid stuff because of female presence in raid, RL/GM blames female and institutes a "no girls allowed" rule.
I know there are some ladies out there who thrive on the attention and drama they can create by being a girl in a guild/raid of male gamers. Most of us are not like that. IMO, it's the same social pressures that create the male raiders who can't behave normally with a girl around and the so-called "attention whores". Many gamers are low on the social ladder (or think they are) and will take any attention from the preferred gender as good attention.
Ladies: If you are causing problems by being overly flirty, stop. You'll never be satisfied with attention from gamer boys...unless it's coming from the one, special gamer boy that you respect. :) Otherwise, play on and don't let anyone tell you being a girl makes you less of a raider. Drama Mama Lisa was right on.
Dudes: You don't have to compromise your guild rules or personal standards for a girl to think you're cool. Be nice and respectful and you'll find someone who treats you the same way.
Oct 13th 2010 11:28AM "a logo dress shirt with a small crest in a color other than black"
This. I'd love to see some colorful WoW gear irl. I don't like wearing black, it doesn't look good on me. I have a Save the Murlocs t-shirt because it was cheap, but I know I would wear it more if it were any color other than black. I'm holding out for a Dalaran University shirt because it's a pretty tasteful blue design.

I'm sorry to hear that you are affected by MS. I won't pretend to know what that's like, because I don't. I just want to say that drug companies' patents only last about 20 years, and they file that stuff years before the drug actually hits the shelves. Prices can get ridiculous, but the amount of money that goes into research, development, clinical trials, and the actual production of the drug is absolutely staggering. Research is expensive, if it wasn't then we wouldn't need to resort to huge publicity stunts to get people to donate. And if you're interested, the drug that eventually became Viagra was originally developed to treat high blood pressure and chest pain. They discovered it had a nice little "side effect" in clinical trials and so it became an ED treatment.
ED is a real medical condition. So is MS. So is cancer. There are lots of really crappy things that can go wrong with the body and no matter what it is, it sucks. Some stuff is definitely worse than others, but I wish it didn't feel like all the different conditions were fighting each other for awareness and research money. That's not helping anyone.
