Feb 13th 2012 8:43PM Pretty sure I see a homestuck reference there.

The Queue: Do it live {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2012 1:25PM You should consider checking out Dragon Age by Bioware. That fits your bill perfectly...my only advice is that you avoid it's lesser sequel (which was watered down to a button masher except at the highest difficulties but has hilarious characters).

Dragon Age at normal difficulty and above is very strategic, allowing you to pause the action and assign commands individually. You can also write fairly sophisicticated lists of contextual commands for each character that they use as the situation changes. Hell you can even do the same for your player character and put him on auto pilot.

Give it a try; you might like it.

Breakfast Topic: What's the most useless ability in World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Dec 22nd 2011 8:49AM Death Knight ability: Blood strike.

Seriously. This one is getting removed in MoP because no DK uses it. Blood uses Heart Strike(ironically)/Blood Boil, Unholy uses Scourge Strike, and Frost uses Howling Blast as our single-rune abilities.

I think at this juncture it just fills in the space Strike and Primal Strike do for Warriors/Enhancement Shaman, respectively.

Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite 5-man instance of all time? {WoW}

Dec 11th 2011 12:22PM I think my favorite instance thus far has been Halls of Reflection.

It was hard as hell for a lowbie holy paladin who was only just getting into his purples (thus inspiring simultaneous joy and fear at seeing it), the lore figures and the reappearance of classic WC3 alliance units made me chuckle. Falric and Marwyn's commentary before engaging was just sinister enough for me.

And then to cap it all off, just to demonstrate how out of our league we are, we RUN from the Lich King. We don't fight him, we get the hell outta dodge.

As a lore-nerd, it was incredibly entertaining. Plus, we got to see Uther again! I loved Uther.

Breakfast Topic: What's your calling? {WoW}

Oct 28th 2011 10:57AM I surprise myself by finding that healing is a role I gravitate toward, despite my innate aggressiveness.

I've played a restoration shaman, holy paladin, holy priest, main a restoration druid....never did like discipline priests, though.

It's weird, but it works.
