Apr 3rd 2012 6:18PM I'm a PEI native myself, though I've lived in North Carolina for about 12 years now. Same red clay(it never comes out)
But, while you folks are stuck in the snow and yuck, I'm sitting on a patio having my evening coffee, enjoying the 25 degree weather. (25 Celsius, not Fahrenheit)
Begin the hate now. It's ok, I can take it, I play a warlock.
Mar 31st 2012 1:09AM Damn, Blizz, y'all ain't kidding around! Keep up the good work! :D
Ps- where's mine?
Mar 28th 2012 9:43AM The biggest problem with dropdowns is that they hide choices available to the user, and by extension, the context around that choice. Even if the drop down list is accurately labeled, the user is required to understand what decision they are making without being able to clearly see the choices presented to them. (not to mention click to expand, scroll through a list of things, click the wrong one, curse, goto step 1)
With the screen resolutions we have today, there is usually more than enough space to make some, if not most or all of the available options visible immediately.
TL;DR: there are better, friendlier ways of presenting choices to your users.
Mar 27th 2012 10:52AM Oh well. As a warlock, i see the "here's something cool that may not happen" as conditioning. After all, if we warlocks were happy, we'd be mages.
And we can't have that.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to my record player and turn "a slight case of over bombing" to side b.
Mar 24th 2012 10:52AM Though I hate that song, you sir, win an Internet today. I love puns. My little pink pigtailed gnome DK is called pwnellope, I have an engineer rogue (gnomish,) named Oonoes (pronounced double oh noes)
My panda will definitely use my punt astir naming convention. I've just not thought of it yet.
Mar 22nd 2012 12:09AM I am a warlock, and I approve this message.
Mar 21st 2012 8:01PM I doubt that Garrosh will do the demon blood thing, given his family history and all. (I'm willing to be wrong, of course. This is all speculation.)
I think it will be an Old God thing, but with a twist. I suspect that the Sha are like larval Old Gods. The similarity of the Old Gods and the Sha both feeding on negative emotion can't be downplayed. Add in those stained glass windows in Ulduar, and the presence of what is likely another Titan facility in Pandaria and the connection gets stronger.
Garrosh, in an act of desperation, allowing himself to merge with, or be taken over buone of these Sha to turn the tide of a battle is where I'm placing my bets. Even if he's able to assimilate that Sha with his own psyche, he would almist inevitably become malevolent due the nature of what he'd done. (you are what you eat?)
Regardless, I look forward to reaching into the darkest corners of his heart, amplifying the corruption within, turning it against him until he is weak enough for me to tear his soul out completely. Then, I'll head over to westfall, pop that soul stone and seed of corruption a whole village of murlocs in one fel swoop.
Mar 21st 2012 12:22PM I think it's called bane of Havoc, which is available via the Destruction Tree. (Demos and Affies need not apply.)
If you're affliction, you have Soul Swap, which lifts all dots from one target and places them on another. (Glyph of Soul Swap turns this from a MOVE into a COPY, but adds a pretty hefty cooldown) (Come to think of it, this may or may not be a talent. I don't remember, tbh)
I don't know about anything that does this in the Demonology tree.
My main is affliction, has always been affliction, and barring future catastrophe for that spec, always WILL be affliction. (Something about grabbing onto the darkness within my enemies and using that darkness against them really makes my soul sing. And my soul sounds like the guy from Skinny Puppy.)
Mar 20th 2012 8:54AM You know, seeing all that information yesterday had got me excited for the expac. There's nothing there that didn't sound cool.
Something it DID do, however, is make me almost want to wait for the finished product rather than spoil everything for myself during the beta.
I want to see the beta roll out sooner than soon(tm), but only because it means the actual expansion will be out sooner.
Mar 17th 2012 3:13PM I see your Bay City Rollers, and raise you the warlock version of that same song, courtesy of Ned's Atomic Dustbin:
