Apr 3rd 2012 5:37PM Yeah. But apparently calling them a bitch is ok.
Apr 3rd 2012 5:33PM I'm far more offended by companies that use sex to sell hamburgers, beer or shoes. Do you complain when a book as sexuality in it? A movie? RPG's, especially as huge as WoW are going to have sexuality all over it. Whether it is overt or covert or completely misconstrued or fully intentional. I don't think there was anything distasteful in the quest text there. Could they have done without it? Absolutely. Is it bad editing? Maybe. In a company as big as WoW, I would imagine it would be better off not to even go anywhere near there. Even as innocent as it was. Funny though, I don't think Garrosh calling Sylvanas a bitch got this much scrutiny, this fast. To me that was far more demeaning and unnecessary.
Apr 3rd 2012 3:35PM Extended to 3pm PDT (5pm CDT and 6pm EDT).
Apr 3rd 2012 3:26PM I am not the best player by far- I have no problem playing Afflic or Demo. In fact leveling Afflic from about 24-84 was some of the easiest leveling I have done. I then switched to Demo sometime in level 84 and find it hard to go back without my trusty felguard and his whirlwind-cleaving thing. I'm not looking to top any DPS charts so take that into account. I think the reason why people don't play them is- the unknown. They hear a lot of misinformation on them. Hard to master? Maybe. Not hard to play. If I can do it, anyone should be able to. I tend to play the least complicated spec of each class ;) Another thing might be the perception of locks being all demonic. The last thing, would be limited race options- not many people like Dwarves and less like Gnomes. That leaves you Humans and Worgen on the Alliance side.
Apr 3rd 2012 3:01PM I can't remember the names of them, but there are at least 3 races in Mists that look like they could be playable. One of them was the Yak men that look a lot like Tauren. One of the other was a lizard man like dude. Then you have the Ethereals. I also think Kalu'ak would be cool and totally think Murloc's could be a playable race. I am also a little peeved that there will be yet another murloc pet that I won't have any chance at getting. /sigh. They need to make an epic quest where you can get your own Murloc hatchling (or baby tadpole) and grow him up to be your little buddy. Do it Blizzard. Do it.
Apr 3rd 2012 2:55PM I signed up for AP more because I knew I wouldn't be unsubbing anytime soon. If they wanted to lay free stuff on me for that, fine by me. I hardly use the mount anymore, won't touch D3 and may or may not check out the beta. Ok, who am I kidding, I will check out the beta. Probably.
Apr 3rd 2012 2:51PM In light of the realms STILL being down for "regularly scheduled maintenance"-
What is the longest time the servers were down on a non-significant patch day? Barring emergency maintenance or work being done to swap out old servers, this seems overly long.
Apr 3rd 2012 2:34PM A Forsaken or Tauren dungeon would be cool. I think I had my fill of Belf and Orc dungeons in the outlands. I love Gnomer (I'm one of the 5 people) so another Gnome one would be great. A night elf dungeon might not be bad, as long as it was nothing remotely like blackfathom deeps- the one dungeon I will never step foot in again ;)
Apr 3rd 2012 2:18PM @Boobah
Yeah but they started the warlock tanking chant when the Mists calculator was updated, which was about 4-5 weeks before Beta started.
Apr 3rd 2012 2:12PM I really don't understand the thought process on, "lets make X class do Y". Especially when you can easily level any class you want. Maybe, because I am an altoholic. Every time they try to give X class Y abilities to be like another class, it seems to cause a lot of stir.
As far as "dumbing the game down" goes, I would like to call it refining the game. What's the difference if you have 48 spells and you only use 12 or they pare them down? Seriously. Some classes have way too much going on. I know you don't keybind 48 things on your gaming mouse, because they don't have that many buttons on them- yet ;)
