Reader UI of the Week: Laar goes with a tri-spec setup {WoW}

Mar 27th 2012 5:51PM With a posted UI comes the expectation of maintenance or user-requested "tweaks" or modifications.
If a user is understandably not willing to cater to the expectations or demands of others then they will not post it.
I cannot say I blame them.

Warlocks getting a ranged taunt through glyph {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2012 1:55AM Warlocks do not need to be able to tank.
Already enough to do just that, and designed to do so from the start.

I may seem to be in the minority here, but I like warlocks as we are, the underdog of sorts and usually a minority.
I do not want us becoming popular because we are suddenly cool.

I do not want to be a wow hipster who played a warlock before they were cool.

Mists of Pandaria beta showing up on pages {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 9:10PM Due to lack of an annual pass in previous betas then previous experience is of little help there.

Mists of Pandaria beta showing up on pages {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 9:08PM Looks to be an interesting update to the launcher, particularly the volume-like button at the top right corner.
Curious if that might finally be a way of getting rid of that unecessary "BOOM" or whatever you want to call it.

WoW Insider's Mists of Pandaria coverage {WoW}

Mar 19th 2012 12:20PM A bunch of whiny kids complaining about lack of models again.
New models if they have any changes to the shape of the body will mean that the equipping of thousands of armor items and weapons will need adjusted.
That is why it is not a high priority, because it will be a lot of effort for a minimal return.
Armor will cover up most of the updates.

Breakfast Topic: Further discussion of cross-faction raiding {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2012 1:15PM Cross-faction raiding I feel could not exist in the current tier model, but perhaps on a smaller scale as scenarios.
You could come across another factions town or city under attack by some common enemy, perhaps an enemy which would pose a threat to your own faction later if not dealt with.
So there would be an incentive to defend those which normally you would be at conflict with.
Not quite "The enemy of your enemy is your friend.", but not far off.

The 7 best suggestions for improving archaeology {WoW}

Jan 12th 2012 3:51PM @Revynn
Simply adding more artifacts at this stage while having the same horrible RNG will make it even less attractive a profession to anyone new to it.
It needs less reliance on sheer dumb luck before we need to make it more of a grind.

I am still 3 rares short, lvl 85 weapons which judging from experience I may not see all of pre-MoP.
At which point they become useless, something I would have hoped not to happen.

The OverAchiever: How archaeology could get a lot worse (and why we hope it won't) {WoW}

Jan 5th 2012 6:37PM Pandaran is very likely, but Sha not so much.
Sha are more a manifestation, a consequence of bad feeling and not a physical race with a history.
It would be nice for the lvl 85 BoA's to not be outdated more so than they are already, especially since there are three I have yet to get.

The OverAchiever: How archaeology could get a lot worse (and why we hope it won't) {WoW}

Jan 5th 2012 6:31PM Path of the Titans to the best of my knowledge would have basically been another tier of glyphs, and ones that would have had utility or a throughput impact.
Therefore it would have been another mandatory progression, something which would have been expected of you and something you would have been judged upon.
I have no doubt also that there would have been good and bad choices of the "faction" or group you chose to support or follow for the above reasons.

Archaeology is entirely optional, and offers no significant benefits that would dictate that you take the profession to benefit your end-game performance.

We did not need another forced grind.

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: No druid gear displayed in feral/moonkin form, no fourth spec for other classes {WoW}

Dec 19th 2011 10:19PM We don't really need yet more tanks.
Warlocks, and the earlier post with the example of shaman are either gimmicks, or relics of past experiments / failures.
Any shortages currently are community driven.
Death Knights didn't help, nor will any future tank role.
