BlizzCon 2010: WoW Insider interviews author Christie Golden {WoW}

Oct 23rd 2010 11:20AM I'm slogging through The Shattering right now. It's the first Warcraft novel I've read, and I must say that if Ms. Golden is the best writer of the lot, the others must have been truly wretched. This book has page upon page of mindless exposition: peripheral characters like Remulos get a one or two paragraph detailed description of their in-game models, for cripes sake.

I guess if you can really, truly write, you don't end up doing contract work for a major game publisher, at least after your first novel gets you noticed.
