Feb 20th 2012 1:29PM So because a guild is not top in progression, the guild leaders are not dedicated to the progression of the game or how to make it better?
I lead a fairly large guild that is in the "between Expac blues" right now where several members are not logging in or are out driving the new and shiny games. But I am still concerned and devoted to my guild and listen to it's members. I would participate in a guild leaders meeting. This is a sad assumption that only the "progressive" guilds have a vested interest in the game. Contrary to this statement, there are many "casual" guild leaders who work very hard to maintain their guilds and enjoy the game in all of it's facets.
Feb 15th 2012 9:59AM Instead of flying to each of the dig sites in an area, I get on a land mount and explore the area in search of the dig site. Clearing mobs and pocketing the goods from them. Sending grey items to guidies with a little story behind it. Talk in Guild chat or when I am in flight throw the ball for my dog to chase down the hall.
Feb 10th 2012 12:14PM In some areas of the world, especially in the 1920's, a cemetery was made to be park like. Which is where people would have picnics and visit the graves of the their departed family members. They often had lakes and walking paths.
Feb 8th 2012 10:21AM My first guild was on Durator, and I just didn't feel welcome and was told I had to pay a guild "tithe" to the bank every week. I was only level 10 at the time, like I had any amount of gold!
The Second was on Tanaris - found out after about 3 months that they would routinely wipe their roster when the bank was full. The leadership would clean out the bank and then start over inviting people back into the guild, fill the bank, clear the roster. I left before I was /gkicked.
This joined a hugh guild and had fun there for awhile. Then decided to make my own guild. It will be 4 years old this June. It's a casual leveling guild and we raid three nights a week. Really enjoy the people in the guild. We have clear rules, and a generous bank access. No wiping of rosters etc. It's a good place to play.
Apr 19th 2011 9:35AM I am a Guild Leader and have had many people's toons be hacked. As a policy when we notice a hack in progress we open a ticket and let the GM's know as soon as possible. I strongly encourage guild members to get an authenticator. I also have the guild ranks linked to the authenticator system. NO promotion (i.e. greater guild bank access) without an active account with an authenticator. Had a co-gm hacked and the hackers took everything from the last three tabs and stripped all of his toons. He was devastated. He now has an authenticator. Blizzard has done ability in protecting our toons.
1. Do not buy gold from any one!!!
2. Report gold spammers ( really where do you think they are getting that gold from??)
3. Change your password often.. 1 or 2 a month and never use the same password twice in a row.
4. Get an authenticator, and follow the instructions for initializing. ( also note if you take off your authenticator and your guild uses the authenticator options on it's ranks, the game will instantly demote you to the lowest rank, it will take another 5-7 days of consistent play with an authenticator back on the account before you can be promoted.
5. use a maware/virus scanner everyday.
6. NEVER give your pw or the e-mail address your account is attached to in Battlenet out to anyone. (NO not even your brother)
Apr 7th 2011 9:50AM I hot keyed the backwards to my roller on the mouse. press down and there you are. I also keyed my two side mouse buttons for straifing
Mar 29th 2011 12:29PM As for global/trade chat I tell all of our guild members to /leave trade channel and never look back. It's a horrible misuse of time and space in such a wonderful game. The people in our Trade are called Trade Trolls for a reason. They will say anything get you angry and frustrated with even being in the game. Will not tolerate a Trade Troll in my guild either. They are not worth my time and game enjoyment.
Jan 6th 2011 5:02PM Please tell me that among the many bugs fixed that they included:
1. Worgen female laugh.. no longer the chicken?
2. The guild achievement "everyone needs a Logo" it has been unattainable by guilds formed prior to Cata. A general achie should be attainable by all who meet the requirements. (btw if there are requirements other than making a tabard can they be listed?)
Dec 6th 2010 7:29AM I am the Original Guild Leader for Dharma Initiative on Tanaris Server. The guild will be three years old in April. I have had drama queens attempt to force me out of my guild. They are the ones that left. I have been told that "your guild is JUST, a casual guild" Well we are a casual guild that raids 3 - 4 times a week with two raid teams. We have PVP teams and Achievement hounds. There are people who will say this it not possible and is just not the way things were done in Vanilla. Well fact is the Guild is what the people in it make it. A ton of patience, resilience and have a great sense of humor ( be willing to be laughed at).

Nov 4th 2010 10:00AM since we are talking battlegrounds here.. How about the raid finder? It could really use some of this kind of attention. It's unused as it is and I know in our guild their are people always asking to go on Classic as well as BC raids. Adding the raids to the battle group could be an answer to getting the raids achievements to be more attainable.
