Nov 24th 2011 9:37AM I'm not sure what your point is Terrant. I understand people change their opinions. For example, I loved the game since release for years but cancelled my subscription for the first time in Oct. It was sad. I want to enjoy this game but Blizzard is listening to the wrong player base. They are removing key abilities they've had since release. It's a complete overhaul of the game.
It's not like redesigning the world to make it flying mount accessable. When a player finds half their abilities gone, they feel their character is going backward, not forward. That turns players off and you lose subscribers. Unless they want to focus on the Pokemon, Kungfu Panda tween market, they're taking wow in the wrong direction. It's not hard to see that.
I understand this is just the preliminary and very basic talent setup but I don't really consider them talents at all. It's just a few neat tricks you can pick up along the way. It won't really change your character that much unless they add over twice the ability choices. Players like to have fun. Now Blizzard is limiting their fun. Bad business.
Nov 23rd 2011 10:29PM Quite terrible. They are removing everything and turning the game into a simplified Pokemon. Pet battles were only the beginning, soon boss's will hand you their loot.
I'm sorry but giving characters less abilities makes them feel cheated. A new expansion but less spells? Seriously who wanted this? Not the community. I'd like to see some proof this is what the majority wanted. I doubt I'll get it because it's made up.
It's sad what wow has become. Kungfu Panda mixed with Pokemon and topped off with limited abilities.
Nov 8th 2011 5:17PM I agree Kaphik. I played since release. My guild was alive since launch but dissolved during Firelands. Lack of interest and many other factors were to blame but mostly it was Blizzard not putting in meaningful content. Sad how far the game as fallen.
Nov 3rd 2011 7:36PM Quit after 7 long years. Wow just turned into work for me. It just wasn't fun anymore. Cata has been the guild killer for our server. Our guild disbanded along with others and too many guilds are having raid attendance problems. I'm waiting on Star Wars TOR. Many of our guild members already have our guild set up over there. After so long playing wow, it's good to make a change. There just wasn't enough content in wow anymore and gear grinding became boring. Maybe MoP will help and the monk class looks interesting but starting at level 1 means, you guessed it, another grind...
