So... Maybe Ghostcrawler has announced that mages are going to be removed, and the poor idiots tried to use Ring of Frost in the Bluetracker, forgetting that it only makes a barrier around the website and can't stop GC from nerfing them to the ground.

May 16th 2011 8:22PM Personally, I find the set bonuses to be interesting.

For one, they mean we have procs to look for and not just passive bonuses (like tier 9) but we don't HAVE to go out of our way to use a spell we normally wouldn't have used to make use of that proc (like tier 11).

Secondly, if the Imp counts as a demon, that might mean Demo would stand to gain a better advantage from the pet. Of course, we don't know anything about the imps, (and I am a bit peeved that our bonuses are glorified forms of Bane of Doom's proc and Imp. Soul Fire).

Also, about the look, seriously. It's spiders, so yes the Spiderman comparison is valid for like 5 minutes, but just look at the other details. The ornate fire-gems, the pauldrons set ablaze and, of course, that awesome spider crest. I like it, and I hope I'm not the only one.

Apr 6th 2011 10:21AM Yes, yes, I agree with this post entirely!

The problem is, like you said, our DPS -AND- our utility all depend on what Demon we currently are using. While it can be said that one can be a trade off for another, this is why warlocks are so hard to play in PvP.

For example; you see an enemy mage fighting a friendly Warrior in a battleground. You summon your Felhunter for the interrupts/dispell it has. You walk up to the mage but suddenly, your character stops moving. You have been sapped by a rogue who unleashes a flurry of attacks on you and kills you in the stun. If you had had your Voidwalker out, you might have been able to survive the attack with Sacrifice. Then, after that one spell is used your Voidwalker becomes useless and then even if you killed the rogue, you're lacking the dispell/interrupt of your Felhunter.

Now, I ask you, Rogues and Mages can both interrupt. What do THEY give up in terms of survivability for this? Not to sound sensationalist, but it's just not fair.


As for homogenizing demons vs forcing one demon per spec, I'm for homogenizing demons. It makes it easier to handle these things, ie, sacrifice might be usable on any demon. Demonology can still have Felguard, because it depends on demons for DPS, and it's essentially like Beast Mastery getting Exotic beasts. Now, if they can do like hunters and let our pets apply some debuff (ie, Imp - Curse of Tongues, Succubus - Curse of Exhaustion, Voidwalker - Curse of Weakness, and Felhunter - Curse of Elements) it would give some choice for selecting demons.

Jan 12th 2011 5:30PM My question is, are raids suppose to be progressively harder by design? Or is it the loot that makes the challenge.

For example, if you (using as an example, don't condone it) go on a private server where you are given the average level and gear for a raid, no set-procs, and the same spells to use. Would an earlier raid such as BT or ICC be progressively easier than, say, Bastion of Twilight?

Just trying to see if by "difficulty" he means skill alone, or gear etc.
