Sep 14th 2011 4:59AM If you're a JCer, you can use one Chimera's eye and make it a stormy chimera's eye (+84 spell pen), put one blue spell pen gem in there (can't remember what it is) and do the spell pen cloak enchant and you'll be at 210 spell pen and it'll line up with the blue sockets on your legs and I believe hands allowing you to get socket bonuses.
Sep 13th 2011 3:06PM My post below was supposed to be in response to yours - but somehow it didn't do it right.
Sep 13th 2011 3:05PM To put it into perspective, DW frost used to be bad. Last season, DW wasn't a very viable spec to be running (although I used to do it because I didn't want to waste a spec so I used my PvE one). But with the changes to Killing Machine proccing off your offhand attacks, it has made it viable. With that said, you do have to take the extra hit talents in Tier 1 as opposed to increasing your range in that first frost tier. Another downside to it is that you're going to be hitting faster than you could with a 2h so you're going to be getting in more hits in a shorter period of time, but smaller hits. A 2H hits like a truck, so its just about the playstyle. DW is about bringing the fight to somebody and sitting on their face, while 2H is about hitting them like a mac truck.
This is the spec I'll use if i'm feeling peckish and want to go and do DW in BGs: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#jbh0bZbIRrfuRdcz:Mamq0V0mz.
Aug 17th 2011 5:41PM Can you say... heroic lootdragon?
Aug 11th 2011 2:55AM My guild has been using this as well - and as of 9:45pm PDT, this has still been working. We'll see if it works with tomorrow's raiding.
Aug 4th 2011 9:21AM My guild is the only 25 man regular raiding guild on the server and so our progression is primarily in that. Our 25 man team killed Baleroc the first time we saw him - we had maybe 2 or 3 wipes before downing him - and in the enrage. I can't remember how many people we had dead, but it was a pretty significant amount and our vent channel was filled with various derogatory comments and nerd screams. We definitely thought we were going to wipe. Then there were the final pull kills of Alysrazor where we had motivational music blasted over our vent.
On the flipside, there were the stupid wipes where we were so close. We had a 35k wipe on Baleroc once... this week we had a sub-10% wipe on Shannox the first pull of the night where we were betting on which DPS was going to die first - myself or another DK. Needless to say when we wiped, we life gripped the other DK into cleave range of Shannox scoring those who bet on me some free gold from the guild bank ;)
Jul 4th 2011 8:47AM I originally started playing WoW on a RP server with a friend of mine and we started leveling our toons together. I started a Paladin, him a rogue. We got our toons up to level 20, then kinda split ways in terms of guilds. We still ran dungeons and quests together, but we weren't in the same guild due to differences in play times and whatever. He stopped playing WoW about a few months after Wrath dropped. I stopped way before that.
Second time this happened was when I got back into WoW to do raiding, and rolled on a new server to help out a friend who led a raiding guild. I got my originally pally up to level 55 so I could roll a DK, then leveled him to 80. Started raiding and after lackluster raiding performances, I left the guild. Soon after I left the guild, they stopped raiding and everybody stopped playing WoW for the most part.
Third time (yeah, I know it's getting boring) was when there was drama going on regarding the guild I was in because of how the guild was managed and I decided my time in the guild was up because I didn't want to have to put up with drama and instead wanted to raid. I left the guild, and everything kinda started going down the drain at that point. Eventually, the guild broke up and a portion of the core group transferred to another server, joined another guild then split off and formed their own guild when the GM of the guild they joined after they server transferred quit. I don't get to play with my friends from that guild anymore, so in some ways it is kinda being abandoned.
