Jul 2nd 2011 2:46PM Back at the tail-end of Vanilla, in September 2006, I was living in San Antonio, Texas. I had just moved there from Washington in July because of my work and I didn't know anybody outside of my co-workers, so a lot of my nights were spent just surfing the internet and whatnot. I had a few friends from back home that I stayed in contact with and they had gotten into WoW. I was at a store one weekend around my birthday, and I was looking for something new to pass some time and saw the box on the shelf. I had been interested in WoW for a while, but never had the computer to be able to run it... plus I was weary of the reputation it had as being addicting.
Needless to say I took the plunge... and got hooked. 4 months I was playing all the time when I wasn't at work, and it was taking a toll on me. So I took a break, only playing here and there for the next 3 years or so until ICC was fully released and RS had just been released (last July). Been raiding non-stop since then.
Jun 5th 2011 3:09PM But it's also possible that it's Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs singing. It's a toss up - half the people I know think it's Reznor's wife and half think it's Karen O.
Jun 5th 2011 3:05PM Sacco, the cover of the Immigrant Song in the trailer was done by Trent Reznor and Atticus Rose with Reznor's wife singing.
There you go - hope you can find it ;)
May 26th 2011 12:40PM this looks awesome. would help pass the time on maintenance tuesdays lol
May 13th 2011 2:22PM There's actually a LFR tool already in the game. You can list your raid in it and everything... I've never used it myself, but its there.
If I'm setting up a raid that's gonna be pugg'd, I normally go for group comp over getting it going. While I have significant guild repairs and gold to use if there's a ton of retards, I'd rather not. Plus I like downing stuff.
But to be back on topic, I'd actually suggest starting your own raid if you can't find anybody to raid with in your guild.
May 2nd 2011 1:28PM You know how you have to pull those elementals in pairs before you can pull the council? Yeah, those are the adds they speak about for the fight.
Apr 26th 2011 5:25PM This morning it was chalked up to Blizzard trolling us. In reality, we came to the conclusion that the reason why the PTR was still up was due to either they're pushing out 4.2 for testing almost immediately (which would be awesome) or there were some bugs with 4.1 that they felt that needed to be addressed simultaneously as a live server launch for the patch.
Regardless, everybody knew that it was coming out today - from the PTR build being marked as a 'Release Candidate', official patch notes being released, the early shutdown of servers for realm maintenance and the trailer for Rise of the Zandalari being put up early yesterday afternoon.
Apr 26th 2011 12:56PM ...why do I get the feeling that I could have the ability to launch a tactical nuke accidentally while playing WoW?
World of Warcraft- potentially causing nuclear holocaust since 2004.
Apr 26th 2011 6:19AM You guys should be delayed by a week just like when the patch releasing Ruby Sanctum hit. :P
Apr 26th 2011 3:46AM No, the VPs don't zero out with 4.1. When 4.2 comes out, VPs will be converted to JPs. Tier 11 pieces will be purchased with JPs and Tier 12 pieces will be purchased with VPs.
