Mists of Pandaria: The myth of the talent tree choice {WoW}

Oct 31st 2011 8:22PM I still say making all specs of a given class share a single set of talents is the wrong choice. Having a few tiers that are the same across a class is fine, but there should be some that feel like you're choosing talents to further "specialize" your chosen branch.

Shifting Perspectives: Upcoming talent changes for balance {WoW}

Oct 28th 2011 7:46PM Oh I know. The fourth spec for druids just makes the situation worse. The talents for druids are just a mess. Blizz just really needs to rethink the one set per class idea.

Shifting Perspectives: Upcoming talent changes for balance {WoW}

Oct 28th 2011 6:57PM Blizz needs to convert Bear and Cat forms into spec abilities and just redesign druids from the ground up to be 4 distinct and separate specs, each with its characteristic shapeshift form and exclusive abilities. This notion of "bringing back the hybrid" while at the same time putting up higher walls between the specs is just dumb.

Why would a balance or resto druid ever shift into cat or bear form and try to use those abilities? They wouldn't be geared for it, specced for it or glyphed for it. You're not going to tank anything that way or do any reasonable amount of melee DPS. It'd be about the stupidest thing a druid could do.

I think they're gonna have to give up on the fantasy of one talent tree for the whole class. Perhaps not for the pure dps classes, but for the hybrid classes certainly. Otherwise they're going to have to make nearly every talent have a totally different mechanic depending on form which amounts to having different talents per spec anyway.

Oct 24th 2011 2:41PM Don't forget about war. I'm expecting (and hoping for) some great PvE content related to the faction war. PvE "battle-ground style" scenarios scaled to be raids. That could be awesome.

Oct 22nd 2011 8:38PM This time they didn't say "Maybe."

This time they said "We're working on it."

Oct 22nd 2011 6:49PM Props to the roomful of teenagers not drowning her with boos. I was astonished that they didn't act like the mob of morons that have always seemed to permeate the player base.

Or maybe they just couldn't hear her. *shrug*

I'm always amused by statements like "sexuality doesn't play any role". Really? Thrall and Aggra got married at the end of an awesome quest chain. Jaina and Arthas were an item. Love Is In The Air is a whole seasonal event built around male+female romance.

I think what you mean is "only heterosexuality plays a role and I want to keep it that way"

Oct 22nd 2011 6:43PM Yep. Got the question. And hey! We got an answer! Whoa! They're working on it. Not just thinking about it. They're WORKING on it.

Oct 22nd 2011 2:35PM Pokewow, not Wowkemon!

Jeeze. Wowkemon just sounds downright silly.

Oct 22nd 2011 2:26PM I never played Pokemon, but mostly because A) I don't like the anime style for games and B) I didn't want to have to constantly buy new, separate games.

Pokewow looks like crazy fun. I can't wait to try it.

Oct 22nd 2011 2:25PM Just because monks can use swords doesn't mean that's how they're going to itemize end-game monks. Remember: warriors can use daggers.
