Oct 3rd 2010 11:44AM I've personally found that WoW friends and RL friends can really go either way. I've had plenty of WoW friends that when I stop playing the game together with them, they drift away and I never hear from them again. The same happens IRL. When I left highschool, I didn't talk to many of my highschool friends anymore. Same happened with work.
Then there are the friendships that move outside of the medium in which you met. The friends which I hung out with at home, or went somewhere to have fun with? They usually ended up being better, longer lasting friends. The same goes for WoW friends. I met my best friend through WoW, and we even tried a long distance relationship without ever meeting. We spoke on webcam together, watched TV, and simply talked outside of WoW. This is the most important part of differentiating between this. I mean, last night, I spent a good part of my night watching Zombieland with her. The best part of it all?
I'm meeting her in person in about a week, and couldn't be more excited.
Sep 15th 2010 4:48PM @Maleven, I believe Inez Sainz is the reporter that is the center of all the controversy about her supposedly being sexually harassed in the locker room?
Sep 15th 2010 4:45PM Currently on the PTR, spirit is still listed as an attribute, not as a secondary stat. Perhaps this will be changed come cataclysm, but I don't personally think it will be.
Sep 15th 2010 4:34PM Fox, in actuality, I believe the current reforging paradigm allows only secondary stats to be reforged. For instance, you wouldn't be able to reforge your spirit into crit, but you COULD reforge hit into crit. Stats such as spirit and intellect won't be reforgeable.
