Nov 8th 2006 2:24PM Actually,#16 brings up a good point. Wasn't there a feature in DAoC that allowed you to be /invisible? That way, you could play your main in peace without appearing on anyone's friends list.
I love my guild, but there are times when I'm not in a particularly social mood and just want to log on to check my auctions without talking to anyone...or get pinged a dozen times for a PUG. "Do not disturb" is similar, but it just seems a bit rude to me. Best if they just think I'm not even there.
Nov 2nd 2006 3:54PM Having only played Alliance, I've never seen the Horde cities. Not that I actually want to now...you people make them seem absolutely un-navigatable.
As for the Alliance cities, Ironforge is definitely the easiest. Even if you go the wrong way to get somewhere, you'll end up in the right place eventually since it's just a great big circle.
It took me the longest time to get a feel for Stormwind. I ALWAYS managed to go over the wrong bridge which, of course, puts you on the opposite end of the city (and on the other side of the canals) that you need to be.
Darnassus though, is the worst for me. Not because of its design necessarily, but because it's hell and gone from everything else in the game. The only time I'll go there anymore is when a quest makes me.
