Sep 27th 2011 7:25PM You can easily pick up the talent (and should be for optimum damage output) in the elemental tree as enhancement, so it's just a nerf to Resto which was needed really; no other healer has anywhere near as good an interrupt as we do, and certainly not usable from 25yrds away every 6 seconds. :)
Sep 27th 2011 7:22PM If you pick up the talent Reverberation 2/2 in the Elemental talent tree, Wind Shear will retain it's CD of a mere 5 seconds, as well as every other shock. :) TBH it's generally recommended to take, but if you're an interrupter in a raid it's now going to be vital.
Guessing this change was made to make Resto Shamans in PvP not have an unmissable, 25yrd interrupt on a 6 second CD.

I do have to disagree with you here. Whilst us casuals might not all be the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to gearing up, I can tell that one drop is better for my character than the other based on what the tooltip says. What Sarah has so cunningly done is post all my viable options, though generally she's also told me which of the options is best.
Don't worry dear, sometimes an article isn't written with you in mind. Jun 11th 2011 5:06PM I've no idea how viable this would be, or how the numbers would work, but what I'd love to see is the Arcane Blast buff apply to all arcane school spells and only be removed by a spell from another school, with the likely candidates being Fire Blast and Ice Lance (lowish cost spells with instant casts). This would mean Arcane Barrage would be a wonderfully tasty spell when fully buffed (but cost a hefty load of mana) and that Arcane Missiles would hit for a lot more damage so you're not just spamming Arcane Blast all the time.
It'd also be nice to see the buff from Arcane Blast last longer so you can use Arcane Explosion more without having to recast, and for the Improved Arcane Explosion talent's threat reduction to be baseline. After all, the spell already has the massive downside of melee ranged-ness without the mobs turning you into a fine paste because of too much aggro.
May 21st 2011 7:30PM Personally, what I'd love to see is the simple addition of "Casting Fire Nova refreshes the duration of your Flame Shock on your target/s affected by Flame Shock". That way you don't have the nightmare of Flame Shock dropping off so much, will mean you don't have to worry about refreshing it all the time using up precious GCDs in AOE situations, and yet will still keep people from simply using Fire Nova to refresh Flame Shock on single target encounters, as the target itself takes no damage from a Fire Nova coming out from itself.
Also, the actual damage of Fire Nova will need to be ramped up considerably, as even with three Flame Shocks running and a Magma Totem down, the three Fire Novas are nothing compared to most other specs AOE DPS.
May 16th 2011 2:12PM As much as I hated Sindy roaring at us near non-stop in the WotLK login screen, I love the current animated Deathwing screen. Whilst this still picture is of an amazing quality, I still feel his head is far too small and his chin ludicrously large.

May 14th 2011 4:23PM I'll be honest, my Mage (as much as I love her) isn't really my main, or even my second choice, but I play her enough to totally agree with you that Arcane Missiles (keep accidentally typing Magic Missiles...) should be castable on the move BASELINE. It's the same with the Elemental Shaman 4 Piece Tier Bonus: Lava Surge procs a Lava Burst that is instant cast.
Seems strange that both these bonuses are things that many people agree should be baseline for the ability, not something you need FOUR pieces of the current tier set to be able to do, especially on these two specs (Arcane and Elemental) that need a lot more DPS-on-the-move loving. The fact that Lightning Bolt might be glyph-able to be cast on the move is an improvement, but like Scorch I feel it should be a talent, not a precious Prime Glyph space, that I need to invest in.

May 11th 2011 10:48AM You'll get them the same time Enhancement Shaman spells hit for 200% damage on crits. And (I think I'm right in saying) Retadin spells don't crit for 200% either? Not so sure on that one, but Enhancement is in the same boat as you.
I just wish Blizzard goes the whole hog and says, unilaterally, all critical hits/heals are 200% regardless of source. Would make things -so- much simpler.
