May 4th 2011 10:51AM @Fletcher Just want to say that as a gay male who plays WoW probably a little more than is wholesome, I absolutely adored Theralions "pre-nerf" voice. Sure it's stereotypically camp, but there's no other suggestion that he's actually homosexual, aside from he's still living with his mother after all those years... Now he's just yet another gruff voiced bad-guy-dragon. My favorite new characters are Tarenar and Gidwin by a country mile; I love how they've been written, and the quests you get up to alongside them are pretty fun too. If (and yes I know it's a big if here on both accounts) Theralion shows WoWs poor attitude towards homosexual characters, then hopefully Tarenar and Gidwin can show the good attitude they have as well? And of course, there's nothing to suggest the caravan crew are in the least big homosexual, or at least there's as much as there is to suggest Theralion is!
Apr 20th 2011 5:10PM I still think the BC era had some of the best looking weapons and armor sets; I simply cannot wait to re-obtain my Troll (Zul'aman and Zul'gurub) armor on my shaman! Even though I've got a fair few 359 ilevel drops, I'd want to get a full (as full as you can!) set regardless.
Wrath had a nice choice of models, don't get me wrong, but they were a little too... Grimy and "realistic" (as in brown/grey/black, and held together with tape) for me compared to the super-spangly, neon lights and sparkles BC stuff!
Apr 7th 2011 10:54PM Calm down love, your mascara is running.
I agree, though, that it should work both ways. This will make it easier for players without the time to do both PvP and PvE every day to get gear to do so when they're not so busy, especially with the upcoming changes to daily/weekly HC runs.
I have to admit, I'm looking forward to having a character I use for both PvP AND PvE, with enough "income" to fund better gear for both.
Sep 19th 2010 3:48AM "Fewer critical strikes from the imp mean fewer instant-cast Soul Fires..."
I noticed on the tooltip that it doesn't state the Imp needs to make a critical hit to proc the instant cast Soul Fire. If this is the case, perhaps that's why they removed the damage buff? The proc rate of 4% seems pretty low still, but then again the Imp really is a machine-gunner nowadays...
