Apr 2nd 2012 5:09PM I'm with Snuzzle on this one... I've tanked raid almost exclusively for the last two years on my pally and DK because it is what the guild needed. Raiding achievements, gear, etc... But ask anyone in my guild that's been around a while who my main is and they will tell you without question, my Rogue. My first toon that I created when my wife and I started up the 10 day trial, always #1 or #2 of my toons to hit the level cap, my collector of mounts/pets/titles/achievements/anything collectable...
I have a total of 6 lvl 85's at varying levels of activity, and I WILL have a monk when MoP hits, but my Rogue will always be my main.
But that aside, I know many people that either change mains all the time, or have an account full of alts. It's all a matter of each person's perspective. One of the many things I like about WoW, 10 million people can all play how they want with the style they want. There's no right or wrong way. :)
Mar 29th 2012 4:29PM You'd be surprised how many people even after reading the multiple references to beta, will still log in on the live servers and reply here saying "wtf, why are the raid and dungeon finders in separate places??"... It's human nature, it happens.
He's not bragging, he's just giving us a spotlight from "present day" so we don't get lost in the awesome of MoP info.
Mar 29th 2012 2:03PM A bloody mary? No wonder he's so pissed, he's hung over!

I'm pretty sure at one time (maybe still, can't log in to find out) the guild perk for bonus mount speed was specified that it didn't work in battlegrounds, etc. Willing to bet that is what you're experiencing.
Mar 27th 2012 3:17PM I think of it as a "be above X threshold and you win" kind of system... For example, if they chose the "You Win!" threshold to be 75+ on the 1-100 scale, every time you down a boss it will go through a similar process to this:
player1 - *game rolls 1-100 for you, gets a 76* Congrats, here is your spec-appropriate gear
player2 - *game rolls 1-100 for you, gets a 95* Congrats, here is your spec-appropriate gear
player3 - *game rolls 1-100 for you, gets a 43* Sorry, you didn't win, try again next week
player4 - *game rolls 1-100 for you, gets a 84* Congrats, here is blah blah blah
Essentially, its identical to the way the holiday bosses work already, where the other people in your group have zero affect on what shows up in your goodie bag. Potentially all 25 people could win something, but potentially 0 people win something.
I'm honestly happy I won't have to look at the roll list, and see my 99 beat out by a 100 from the balance druid dps'ing in cat form and pulling 5k.
Mar 23rd 2012 10:30AM You won't have to re-tame, Inscription makes an item (Certificate of Ownership I think?) that lets hunters rename their pets on a cooldown. I bet that will take care of everything you're looking for with much less struggle. :)
Mar 22nd 2012 1:30PM I think the models look great, and that Blizz hit a homerun on the first try compared to the issues they had with the fem-worgen.
But I have to ask, am I the only one that thinks of Sonic's little buddy Tails? I know panda/racoon vs fox and one tail vs two tails, but just overall-first-glance type thing.
Again, still love it, 100% a fan.
Mar 22nd 2012 1:04PM I still don't get this. HGWT is mostly(? ballparking here) used for raid groups to get everybody together quickly so you can start the run. Sure, there are some odds and ends uses for it (like when my wife or I would summon the other to do MF dailies, etc), but I'd hazard to guess it's most used for raiders.
So with that in mind, we're going from one person doing a ~10sec cast and having everyone on-site to two people standing at a summoning stone (or lock TV) and one-by-one summoning the other 8 or 23 raiders? Ugh.
I bet we'll see a lot of groups have a few people flying/FP'ing to the destination and summoning the rest (which gets 1 or 2 extra people "out into the world" compared to now). Unless Blizz isn't putting summoning stones outside the new dungeons/raids, which will throw a ringer in that. Considering our raid doesn't have a lock, I can only imagine the frustration of waiting on those 1-2 people that always drag their feet to wait for a summon... Or hearthing back to SW to pug, only to have to travel the whole way back to the raid... ugh again...
Why not just make HGWT create a portal that requires one or two extra people to activate? Kinda like a mobile summoning stone that will pull your whole group at once?
Just a thought, I dunno...

I have to admit it took me a few seconds, but once I figured out what you were getting at I LOL'ed. Well played. Well played.
