BlizzCon 2010: Man breaks leg in dance contest {WoW}

Oct 23rd 2010 5:50PM Everyone wondering why they are holding him by both legs and arms when he injured one of his legs, do you think it would be safe or wise to leg a broken/hurt limb hang unsupported whilst you are carrying that person somewhere? They are likely holding the injured limb up to keep it steady and are not trying to hold him up BY the leg at all.

Speedy recovery to the guy.

BlizzCon 2010 Day 1: Costumes and characters {WoW}

Oct 23rd 2010 12:03PM love #1 Jaina costume, gorgeous lady although the purple seems a little too dark? The 2nd one has much more accurate colours but I have a feeling the top should have been a bit more supportive of her breasts, it shows a bit too much and probably wasn't very comfortable, it looks like its just squeezing them flat and not holding them up at all. Its not a comment on her appearance or breasts, just an observation that whilst her costume was more accurate in colour scheme it doesn't look overly comfy for the lass.
The phrase 'suffer for one's art' comes to mind.

Oct 18th 2010 12:21PM Any ideas of what system requirements are gonna be for cata? I know we won't know anything specific but are there any realistic predictions yet?

Sep 30th 2010 2:40PM I love love LOVE this, esp the voicework. We've had some entertainingly horrible voicework on WoW, and whilst I do love the good and the bad, this is very VERY good.

Sep 29th 2010 12:06PM This might have been answered yonks ago and I may sound like an utter fool, but are there any plans to do something with achievement points? I remember hearing a long time ago that they might turn into a currency of some sort but I'm sure that was just a rumour/wishing thinking.
Still, it begs the question (that may already have been answered), are the points of any more use than they were pre beta?

Breakfast Topic: Do you use WoW to keep in touch? {WoW}

Sep 28th 2010 8:55AM No family, but I do have a friend who left the college I'm at to go to a different one. We still play occasionally and I have a few friends from my college who play with me. I only know one other girl who plays, she was 'dragged in' by her boyfriend and whilst I find her on there less often than others (More to do with time than a lack of interest) we do a good bit of chatting and do some quests together. I don't think we'd be as good friends as we are if only relied on spare time at college to sit and chat (as most of that is spent doing essays).

WoW can be a 'nerdy diversion' and some are probably ashamed to let their friends know, or don't want to try and explain to family members how to play. However, I think it's a great way to keep in touch and actually, some people who hide the fact that they play WoW are probably hiding it from friends who also play. I just won't clue my family in because they are all either useless with computers, unable to afford the sub or not interested in gaming/being part of the family ever.

A friend of mine revealed tome once that both her parents, her uncle, sister and several other family members were all very avid WoW players, which was nice to hear. As a side note, it was nice that she, as someone who had zero interest in WoW, did not disrespect her family for all playing WoW.

Sep 26th 2010 5:01AM Amazon only lists normal version of cata as not running on windows 7 whilst the collectors does.
am I going to have to buy collectors just for that or will normal cata still run for me?

Sep 25th 2010 9:27AM Question!

I was looking on amazon and noticed they sell two version of expansion. one normal, one collectors. the collectors is listed to run on windows 7. can I run the none windows 7 on my laptop (I believe the versions I run now are non windows 7) or do I have to buy collectiors.

In similar notes, how bad is it if you do not have your boxes with the key on it? (or long numbers/letters). I think my boxes were thrown away for vanilla, bc and wrath which annoyed me but is all lost if i ever need to provide the key again?
