3 things Warzones taught me to love about Battlegrounds {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 12:30PM 100% of the so called slow down problem in ToR and every other new MMO is: people who play WoW try to play them and get terrible frame rates when thier "WoW ultra spec" machines are often 4-5 year old running at best core duos with an 8800gt. Well NOT SHIT you're gonna get bad frame rates trying to play a new game with a equipment that wasn't even top of the line when DX10 was new and fancy.

3 things Warzones taught me to love about Battlegrounds {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 4:33AM Honestly I can't agree with a single thing in this particular article.

I've never had an issue clicking players, particularly with enemy name plates turned on.

Never had my frame rate drop below 30-40 fps even with everyone clustered on the middle point of Civil War.

The resolve meter, which build up as you get hit with CCs and snares means you don't get CC locked as easily as you do in WoW and EVERY class has a CC break in the form of an ability and trinket. Not to mention half the stuns in the game are broken by damage. And as for the sheer number of them, it's because battleground on SWTOR are much more team/focus fire oriented than WoW.

To be honest the entire article sounds like a combination of the complaints of a less than skilled player with a machine in need of upgrades. My old gateway FX laptop runs WoW at 1920x1200 on ultra (with a mild overclock) and it's 4 years old.

The simple matter is SWTOR PvP is more demanding of the machine, player, and team than WoW is, and it's simply jarring to people who're seasoned in WoWs style of one man army dps and the almost complete nullification of CC.

May 21st 2011 6:19PM I still expect the world first for the legendary staff will be a Warlock or Spriest. XD Just to spite. :)

Breakfast Topic: Who are the most robust characters of the expansion? {WoW}

May 4th 2011 10:26AM Sorry man, but I wished nothing less than a long, painful, bloody death for that idiot. >:(

Breakfast Topic: Who are the most robust characters of the expansion? {WoW}

May 4th 2011 10:25AM YES!

I really hope she becomes a major plot character later on.

Breakfast Topic: Has Cataclysm been a game-changer for you? {WoW}

Apr 10th 2011 9:47AM As much as I've dug the new 1-60 and 80-85 leveling experience, I found myself so bored with the end game that I've actually taken a temporary leave from WoW, at least until the Firelands hits; which I'm hoping will be good and interesting enough to keep me in the game.

Breakfast Topic: Are Cataclysm gear ilevels too big a jump from Wrath? {WoW}

Mar 2nd 2011 8:55AM My main came from Wrath into Cata wearing mostly BiS and didn't have too much trouble. The first alt though I brought into cata content was in at best ilevel 200 gear and it was indeed alot tougher. But I wouldn't say it was so tough as to be unfair or impossible, just had to play with a fair bit more care than normal until I closed the gear gap, which really only took an hour or so.

Breakfast Topic: How was your first Cataclysm heroic group? {WoW}

Feb 11th 2011 10:55AM I got super lucky with my first roic pug, was a Lost City run that was pretty much flawless. My subsequent pugs however, not so much. -_-

Breakfast Topic: Should Blizzard take away earned titles and rewards? {WoW}

Feb 10th 2011 12:15PM Taking away the title from folks who have earned them in the past would be one of the most dick things I'd think they could possibly due. Sure it's easier to do them now, but most of those folks didn't dot hem now, they did them years ago, and for worked their asses off for them.
