Oct 21st 2011 4:24PM This might be an epically stupid question, but by "no flying until max level" do they mean at all, or just on the new continent?
Sep 18th 2011 12:52PM Snakes, especially the critter version.
Insert all the Indiana Jones jokes you want, but I'm completely serious. As a person who suffers from severe ophidiophobia, I cannot pass one of the bastards without giving their insides a very personal introduction to my dagger.
I can't help it; they just need to die. Then, of course, there is the nightmare-inducing sound they make as I help them shuffle off their mortal coil, which I consider their parting taunt in my direction.
So I'm sure you can imagine the overwhelming joy I felt when Blizzard found it necessary to put the little creeps everywhere in Cata...
May 4th 2011 11:42AM Awwww, Aqua. Now that is the sound of my tweenhood. It might be because I'm Danish and had questionable taste in music back then, but this still brings a smile to my face whenever I hear it.
*mentally bracing for the downrating*
Oct 20th 2010 10:36AM Stitches....My nemesis.
He seemed to have placed a homing device on my dear rogue and happily chewed her head off at any given opportunity. She was probably killed more times by Hubris (as I have named all the devilsaurs in Un'Goro) but that was always a bit of a LOL-moment. Stitches, however....My vision still goes red with murderous rage whenever I see him.
Oct 10th 2010 9:46AM Alrighty, then.
I'm a female in her early 20's who loves fluffy puppies, cheesy 80's power ballads and studies comparative religion at uni. And my mains are a rogue and a shadow priest.
Go ahaed. Analyze.
Oct 9th 2010 5:30PM Oh, God, I know! I rolled a rogue at the same time as my friend rolled a hunter, and about 20 levels later, she was steam rolling through everything, while I was making a run for my mangled corpse if a fluffy bunny blew on me too hard, and 20 levels later again SHE GOT MAIL (not the movie, the armour...) despite having her own private tank to soak up the damage. Not that I'm still bitter about it or anything.
That being said, rogue is my favourite class. I love me my Spriest, but damn do I miss being able to sneak up behind an unsuspecting target and unleash a sharp, whirling death upon them.
Oct 8th 2010 8:26AM My first MMORPG was EverQuest, and I remember being filled with awe and amazement at how BIG it was. Everything felt big and kind of scary; the woodland creatures could and would happily chew your face of (especially if you somehow forgot to con them), trains developed very, very easily, and if you chose a wood elf, just finding the way to the bank or your trainer was a daunting task (oh, Kelthin, how I miss you!)
But while EQ was big, its zones felt artificial with the somewhat clunky zig-zag transitioning between them, and that was one of the first things to strike me about WoW. zones just sort of...blend together. It was strange. And awesome.
Sep 21st 2010 5:52PM I've never commented on anything on this site before, but felt compelled to tip my hat to both parties involved in this interview.
Thank you for this very human (however spiritual the subject might be), entertaining, insightful and compelling piece - whether you agree with the Rev. Fish or not is by and large irrelevant. The guy's a gamer and there for the game, just like the rest of us.
(One of us, one of us!)
