Feb 2nd 2011 7:35PM That's because its easier to remember the bad stuff rather than the good stuff. Dunno why it happens, but it applies everywhere:
Omg he just crossed the street when the light was red!.
Do we ever notice when someone crosses it when it's green?
Expand it everywhere.

Jan 29th 2011 1:56AM First of all, Private Servers I'm sure benefit Blizzard more than it harms it.
It's a gigantic trial version of the game, which entices players to go for the real deal.
When you play in a Private server, you get to see a lot of working stuff. Most of the bugs and problems you point out have been corrected. Once a new Expansion goes, emulators get the last one working almost 100%. When Wotlk launched, BC was pretty much wholly scripted. Same for Cata.
That expansion you are set back by playing in a PServer makes you want to pay for the real game. The ones that don't is because they mostly can't.
Most kids in most countries can't pay for the subscription, which are the bulk of PServers, they wouldn't play or even get to know WoW if it wasn't for PServers. Once they grow up and get a job they may subscribe, when they wouldn't otherwise.
And neither of you are mentioning Open Source policies, Freeware, or the many music stars who give their CD's for free to download online.
Paying for a CD/DVD to help the artist is fine for underground artists who pay all themselves, but for big names, the money goes straight to the distributing company, not the artist. Check Coldplay, Radiohead or Nine Inch Nails.
Blizzard makes more money than they could ever spend even if tripling all their employees wage for the rest of their life. It's just that it's business rotted mentality to always increase revenue.
I'm all up for the freenternet mentality of white hats hackers.
Also, the WoW Client you can get for free in Blizzard's ftps. You are buying your account update, nothing else.
Sep 24th 2010 1:06PM Indeed, that's probably the reason of the censorship.
China and it's authoritarism makes me feel sick everytime they censor stuff.
I never understood video-games, movies or books censorships, of any kind, be it an Anti-Nazi literature or Mein Kampf, as long as the people reading/playing/watching aren't mentally ill or something.
In that case, if it's not a video-game or a book, it's something else, in which case it doesn't make sense to ban everything "just in case".
Freedom above all things
Sep 21st 2010 10:03PM Going to the center for heals is like "GET OUT OF THE FIRE" rule in raids. It's as vital as it's basic.
Sep 20th 2010 1:40PM PvZ is an amazing game, so great it gets a mention / easter egg.
First when I played PvZ I was kinda biased against it because I considered it a ripoff of Tower Defense games but as it grew into me, I ended up loving the game, the concept and the design.
Great game, and its even greater that it gets a mention in WoW.
