Breakfast Topic: World of Prankcraft {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2011 1:19PM I've actually been the one pranking on more than one occasion.

Back when we still raided 25-man due to some sign-offs we once had 4 mages in a single raid. We all stood on the same exact position and all 4 of us created a different portal after the raid was over XD

More recently, I survived an attempt on Majordomo Staghelm, with my exploding seed debuff still active. What did I do? Why, I ressed my guildies of course! The results can be seen at the end of the video I made of our kill :p Check it out at:

Video of the Delegation and Volcanus the Firelord {WoW}

Jul 15th 2011 4:30AM "Guilds are finally getting their 25 Eternal Embers from the Firelands and continuing to forge the great legendary staff Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest."

Heh, forget it. Most 10-man guilds are still only halfway, if they're lucky :(
Ryolith, Baleroc and Alysrazor killed yesterday. Only Ryolith dropped his -single- Ember. This first phase is really testing my patience :P

Ready Check: The quest for Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest {WoW}

Jul 1st 2011 4:43PM Not quite. The requirement now is to EITHER kill any 1 of the 3 end bosses of T11 content, OR kill a Molten Lord. Doing any of those things allows you to start the questline.

Ready Check: The quest for Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest {WoW}

Jul 1st 2011 4:20PM In 10-man mode, bosses seem to drop a lot less Eternal Embers. Which is to be expected since we know a 25-man guild would get the staff about 2.5 times faster. However, on 10-man the estimated dropchance is 0-1, which means bosses can decide to drop ZERO embers, potentially slowing down your chosen staff gatherer down a lot.

I, for one, would like to see these things drop a guaranteed 1 and then potientially 1 or 2 more per boss kill on 10-man. As long as there's no more chance of not getting a drop.

Other than that, I can't wait until my guild and I get more experienced in Firelands and start to get some good bosses down so I can start building on my personal cache of Eternals.

Arcane Brilliance: How to be legendary {WoW}

Jun 25th 2011 5:21PM I can safely say that in my guild, the warlock won't have the honor of getting the first Dragonwrath. Being the eldest and most dedicated casters (the warlock and myself), it was decided we would roll who would receive guild help first. For a change, I won with a roll of 97 :)

So yes, the fate of your world WILL rest on the shoulders of a tiny gnome mage. Deal with it ^^

The Daily Quest: Let me explain {WoW}

May 16th 2011 5:27PM Ah yes, good times...

I remember unplugging my earplug headphones while spamming frostbolt when we finally got our first kill on the Twins in AQ40. Give or take 25 people (not everyone had a mic) screaming their ass off hurts the ears XD

Officers' Quarters: Wrath of the orange stick {WoW}

May 16th 2011 3:30PM This is exactly the equation I've been running in my mind the last couple of weeks...

1 guild, 2 casters. Warlock and myself (mage). Both equally motivated and loyal to the guild.
Just one problem... The warlock is infact an officer and manages a good chunk of the guild bank..

So really, I'm hoping by the time we start on the legendary the guild will either choose me, or I get lucky on the rolls. If the warlock gets chosen, so be it... as long as I get to have a go second :P

Also, the fact that we'll need 12/12 normal down could be a problem. I guess I'll have to subtly prod the guild into focussing on Al'akir instead of heroic BWD :P

WoW Moviewatch: Acting with Certainty {WoW}

Mar 28th 2011 1:53PM We gotta go deeper...

Blizzard announces Memories of Blizzard video contest {WoW}

Mar 17th 2011 4:38AM Nice... Only people living in the US and Canada can enter.

I guess the grand prize 'paid Blizzcon trip' sounded to good to be true for a European :(

Breakfast Topic: Does WoW light your creative fires? {WoW}

Jan 21st 2011 12:35PM WoW has certainly inspired me to further a creative hobby! I was already into the whole machinima thing a bit with The Sims 2, but that died down when I started to play World of Warcraft. Following the different storylines, coming up with rough ideas, I started to wonder if it wouldn't be possible to create movies with WoW too? When I came some of the early works of Baron Soosdon and Olibith I was hooked and started experimenting with Wowmodelviewer and various other tools.

The results? A collection of short videos, from comedy to musicvideo. Some of my work even made it to the WoW Moviewatch, which is very nice to see and much appreciated !
Of course, winning last year's Blizzcon Machinima contest has been my crowning achievement in WoW Machinima so far. But don't think I'm done though... There's lots more stories to tell and this game is way too big to leave me uninspired!

You can check out my machinima movies on Youtube at:
