Radiance of the Chillwell?
Dec 23rd 2011 4:15PM i agree and disagree... your looking at the night elves from a view they themselves haven't had for a millenia...
they are just now starting to re-assimilate, relegating Malfurion to this simple "force of nature" is errant as well, he is the consumate hero, the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many, he understands that more than anything else... he may not be current with the world and have appropriate understand of how the night elves have to fit into the current alliance, but that would be the case with any leader than had been trapped away from reality for all intents and purposes for thousands of years....
Mal and Tyrande need to work more as a unit, there needs to be a level of parity, i agree she is a strong leader in her own right. and she needs a central role in the leadership of the kaldorei as a whole, i think there needs to be a conflict and and understanding
the two of them have different paths, that will eventually intertwine, but for now they remain separate in the sense that she has the welfare of her people in mind while he has the welfare of the planet at heart,
and for that reason they will always be odds with each other. blizzard needs to show that more often if they will ever strengthen her as a character. and on top of it... if you think about Malfurions view.. have witnessed what he did... he probably doesn't care as little for his kin as you think... but as a whole the Kaldorei have alot of sins to atone for, and they've just barely begun to do so... that might be part of the reason Malfurion doesn't hold the plight of his people as near and dear to his heart as some might think.
i don't think Tyrande is weak. understated maybe. but blizzs reluctance to put her in direct conflict with Mal outside of a few books really highlights poor story making if anything else..
Dec 21st 2011 12:46PM @ razion,
Dryads, like keepers of the grove. are children of demigods effectively, all Children of cenarius could never be drawn into a mortal alignment like the horde of the alliance. the only reason we have no conflict or issues with the Dryads on Hyjal is because we are bolstering it's defences... Progeny of Elune, The Ancients, or any other Demi-God endemic to Azeroth would never take sides in a conflict between the horde and alliance... so no, thats never going to happen.
and when i say progeny i don't mean worshippers or followers, like the Kaldorei et al; i mean beings whose essence or existence in whole or in part can be tied to any of those entities.
notice how there is no record of Malorne or any other ancient fighting beside the Kaldorei as they battled the trolls in their early history. but they did fight the legion.. petty factional conflicts are exactly that, and we can expect entities that are more or less a greater part of nature as a whole to take sides in such things.
Dec 15th 2011 9:10AM let the pet fappery begin.
Dec 5th 2011 5:16PM the reason why i harp on this is the open ended speech. this is directly from a blue post,
"players are only eligible to win loot from a boss once per week."
"from a boss boss once per week."
doesn't specify if it has to be all in one run, it doesn't specific if you only get one loot drop from the boss and if you don't win it your SOL, it's rather in descript and that irks me.
Dec 5th 2011 4:51PM So srsly, probably already asked this, but i need clarification, the LFR, you can only get loot once a week, so if you clear the LFR, and all bosses drop loot. but you get none of it... would you be eligible for loot on successive LFR runs afterwards? or lets say you get a drop from one boss but not the others, would you be eligible for loot from any of the other bosses you didn't get loot from on other LFR runs done within that "lockout"? sorry it just seems very ambiguous to me... like someone is waiting for justification to strike from the shadows with teh ban hammar.
Nov 24th 2011 4:27PM first and fav memories eh?
First was... quite honestly? Vanilla, bout a year before BC. had a Mage and Priest i was bouncing between and since i followed the cardinal rule most men did at the time, my characters were female, ran out of Northshire to deliver some pumpkins.. and all of a sudden had to bring a beatdown with my stave! beating the crap out of a Defias Cutpurse just outside the walls of NorthShire abbey... i had been fireballed things to death and this then "foul naive" as i called it appeared.. and since i was in hurry to catch up with my roomate i just wacked him with my greyitem stave until he disappeared. i looted like 40 copper and thought i was suddenly rich.. and 3 rminutes later my roomate came into the room asking my why i was screaming "HAVE AT YOU!" for a good minute there...
Fav was... this was shortly before BC like 1-2 months or shortly after i think.. cause we didn't have Water Ele's before BC right? anyways i was hoofin it to 60, i wanted to get into outlands and all that jass, i somewhere between Lv 48-54 on my mage Tzushima, and she was the most badarse robeless mage you ever saw. puddling through Un'Goro, trying to avoid death by various elites. and then all of a sudden this lv 60 UD lock appears....(i was on a PVP server at the time) fear, dot, fear. i Ran, but then i realize his dots were tickin for crap(probably a new 60 or something), so i ice barriered up, ran back, through a few incidental Frostbolts. Resist, Resist, Resist, CRIT! ooo! 5 percent of his health! i can do this... kinda... he then just chain fears me and dots me up and keeps the fear up while my ele was plinkin at em, i'm like, /sigh i'm boned. when all of a sudden, random Human rogue starts furious trying to stun lock him through the obvious hit gap(he was 52) and i was freed! i hid, ate. came back, melted his face. cheered. danced over his corpse. and then ran like hell back to marshalls refuge to fly out...
