Jan 21st 2012 10:29AM That's pretty much how I won the Booty Bay Fishing Extravaganza a few years back as well. Easter Sunday was a prime time to try for that contest. I only saw 3 or 4 level 80s on the eastern side of the peninsula and a small handful of twinks. Luck was with me and now I'm Salty!
Jan 17th 2012 5:23PM Dang, he made that animation sassy; very suitable for a troll female. I dig it!
Jan 15th 2012 8:37AM I'm really happy about the fact that we can now make our gear sets match and adjust them to our preferences and tastes. On some of my characters I just rock the tier sets with weapons that go along with said sets, others I shoot for more of a vibe. Currently my shaman is sporting some sort of earthen death-goat necromancer look (no idea why, it just sort of happened and I think it looks pretty slick), which is a mix of the current Dragon Soul gear and tier 8.
I really love the options and choice that transmog brings. Now if we were to get dyes and the ability to transmog into different weapons (I have many fist weapons that I fear will continue to go unused), I'd be an extremely happy camper. Until that day comes though, I'm rather pleased with out this feature has worked out.
Jan 13th 2012 4:53AM In a game where dedication and support seems to be faltering as a whole, it is extremely heartwarming to hear that there are in fact still people who are incredibly dedicated not only to this game that we all enjoy, but to their guildmates as well.
I have nothing but respect for these two and their guild. I wish them luck and all the best in their future raiding endeavors!
Jan 11th 2012 8:31AM For raiding I'm strictly enhancement. I have readjusted my enhance spec I think twice since I picked raiding back up (at about patch 4.2 or so), once to get rid of the points that ended up being in Seasoned Winds after they changed that talent around, and once more to readjust points to get a slightly more optimal damage output.
I offspec as restoration, mainly just to duo instances or pvp. Since hitting 85 I believe I have visited the trainer once to adjust that spec. Honestly, I switch to my secondary spec the most for my Loremaster achievement. Have you ever tried to NOT kill a level 42, but only weaken him so that you can trap him as a melee spec while questing? If you so much as sneeze at the mob it dies. To combat this little problem I switch to resto, put on my resto gear, remove my weapon, and punch him in the face. It sometimes happens several times in an evening.
...I guess I'm even abusive when I should be healing things instead -_- A true enhancement shaman at heart.
Jan 10th 2012 8:27AM "the Soul Eater"
...oh, we were talking about titles that are actually in game and not just what people call me irl? Well, in that case it'd have to be either "Starcaller", "Astral Walker", "Salty", or possibly "the Insane". The first three I mention because I think that they're neat sounding, while the last one is listed because on some level it's probably true.
Jan 9th 2012 8:56AM For my characters I either go with random gibberish words that my mind comes up with (only to find out later that they are actual words/terms that have a meaning that oddly fits) or are derived from various Turkish words. For instance my shaman's name is Saz, a hacked up and shortened version of my (first) orc warrior's name Sazmni. Come to find out after several years of being oblivious, a saz happens to be a type of Turkish stringed musical instrument, which is a rather odd coincidence considering the pattern of naming my alts and the fact that at the time of rolling my shaman I was still a music student.
The majority of my hunter's pets are named after people who meant something to me at some point, provided that I think that the personalities match up. A few exceptions have been made and some of the names are more silly than serious, but for the most part the naming of my hunter's pets has been rather meaning full and well thought out,
Like I said, most of my alts either have oddly gibberish names that seem to make real words, or bear the name of a Turkish word that I think befits them and/or their class. Will folks be able to recognize my alts on the spot? Unlikely, but then again I've never cared much for the idea of having all of my characters be so alike with their name. I just don't think 'Sazsmage' or 'Sazfrost' or 'Sazsbanker' really would work for my little spastic gnome banker alt. Gotta keep the characters individual, imo.
Jan 8th 2012 9:30AM Enhancement Shaman - There is nothing quite like the tornadic fury of twin axes, the summoning of feral spirits, the shier destruction brought on by the blending of the elements with steel. You cannot satiate our lust for battle, you cannot exhaust our sense of heroism. Don't make us rain on your parade.
Feral Druid - Sleek, quick, and cunning. Complex, ferocious, and flexible. While feral dps isn't always the cat's meow, there is nothing, NOTHING that quite matches up to the amazing fluid feel of a feral druid. It's a spec for the patient, a call to the wild of mind, and definitely something for those of us who happen to be a little feral by nature.
Melee is where it's at.
Jan 7th 2012 5:14AM The ability to ignore whole accounts would be fantastic. If I could ignore Imamage on one character, who just so happens to be spamming his portal service advertisements every 2 minutes in Stormwind, and never have have to hear his /yells on any of my other characters? That'd be heavenly. Likewise if I /ignore Douchetank in a random, I never have to worry about having to be (unknowingly) grouped with his alt, Facepulldps. I am in love with this potential implement.
*Brain explodes with excitement*
Jan 5th 2012 9:05AM Does it bother me all that much? Nah. Would the fame of my name be surreal and kind of neat? Perhaps for a bit, but at the end of the day a shamanistic warrior such as myself likes her peace and quiet. Being avoided because I'm the crazy (Draenei) kodo lady sounds a lot nicer than being followed around for the rest of my life because I was some sort of war hero.
Honestly, I think I'd like to be remembered through other aspects of my (Azerothian) life; helping to save the world even though the world didn't know it was me who had a hand in it is just icing on the very large, and rather delicious cake.
