Mar 13th 2012 12:59PM Warlocks are just mages with ugly pets, in my eyes. I don't see a compelling need to try one.
Mar 7th 2012 4:24PM One set of gear. Points can be earned either way. PvP points accrue faster since they don't get drops.
Here's the kicker though,
Whilst in PvP arenas and BGs, you have a 30% base damage reduction buff, like they are planning. BUT that percentage increases based on how often you PVP.
This way, you can get your 1 gear set per tier, whichever method you want, and then you PvP to get better at PvP via the PvP Buff.
I hate the idea of having to grind out two sets of gear and switching between them when I go from PvP to PvE. It seems like a lot cleaner of solution than 2 gear sets, one with a slightly lower ilevel to discourage it's use in other content, and with 2 new different resilience stats.
The net result is the same as having two sets of gear, but it is much much much less messy and confusing.
Feb 23rd 2012 8:46PM My expectations are extremely high. This game has to compete with Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 for me. Both of which will be new and shiny still when Mists comes out. If Mists isn't a knock out I can see me drifting away. You can say that we shouldn't set our expectations high, but Blizz still needs to deliver (which I fully believe they can).
Feb 23rd 2012 12:07PM The ironman event is pretty much awesome. I am having a lot of fun, as much fun as I had the first time I ever leveled up.
Feb 16th 2012 11:31AM I have been doing the Ironman Challenge as a Hunter. One of the most fun things I have done in years!
Jan 29th 2012 12:28PM Who are they trying to fool posting this as "new lore?" I remember reading this years ago. It is still awesome, but not "new."
Jan 23rd 2012 7:35PM I don't see how anyone can like any of the old models. They are so bad. The Tauren hair looks ridiculous. It's so blocky. They just need to increase the polygon count on the models and they could be vastly better. Less like Lego men.
Jan 18th 2012 9:34PM I thought the same thing. It seems silly to do...
Jan 18th 2012 7:35PM What an awesome article! Thanks for posting this. Arenas are incredibly fun, as much fun to me as raiding. Unfortunately they have a high bar for entry, and are extremely intimidating. Hopefully that is addressed in MoP, as promised.
The biggest turn off for me is balance, some classes are rather OP and people like to flock to those classes. I say stick with what you like and win what you can. Have fun, the exhilaration of dropping a good team is as fun as dropping a final raid boss!
