Breakfast Topic: Do you like PvP? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 8:21AM I don't mind PVP but I can only take it in small doses. It feels like it takes forever to grind for gear just so you stay alive. Plus it just means one more set of gear to carry around.

On the flip side I think it does make you better at your class since you have to react quicker and forces you to keybind better. But I can only take dieing so many times before it gets frustrating. Nothing like getting consistently ganged up on and getting killed in 2 seconds.

Breakfast Topic: What's the least loved class in WoW? {WoW}

Mar 13th 2012 10:41AM Love it =) Reading a dance with dragons right now. Love that series

Breakfast Topic: What's the least loved class in WoW? {WoW}

Mar 13th 2012 8:25AM Ramp up time and pets for me. Hunters also have pets but you get to tame different animals (giving it flavour) and you don't have the ramp up time.

Breakfast Topic: 'Every female WoW player has healed at least once' {WoW}

Mar 12th 2012 8:33AM My wife and I are the opposite. Her main is a fury warrior and she's never healed, doesn't even have an alt that could, just thinks it would be boring.

Myself on the other hand, I love healing. I find every fight unpredictable and of my 6 85s, 5 of them have a healing speck (only my DK can't heal). My main is my disc priest.

Breakfast Topic: What class will you never play? {WoW}

Mar 7th 2012 9:12AM It use to be a druid for me, although I really liked them and now I have a pair at 85.

Now it's Warlock - I hate pets and I hate dots. I think it's a cool design and I'd love to get into them but I just can't. I'm a true huntard when it comes to using pets and DOTs feel so slow to me. I do have one at lvl 44 but only thanks to some RaF levels.

Warriors and Rogues are the only classes that I haven't got past 30 and I'm not sure why, I don't mind either really but it must be the mdps thing (I do have a frost DK but it's frustrating when I can't hit something because I'm just slightly too far to reach or accidentally walk just past my target).

We need to manage our expectations about Mists of Pandaria {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 9:05AM I think there are already a lot of people that have too high expectations for WOW. It's just a game and it's never going to be perfect.

A friend of mine was complaining about Panda's the other day, that's when I reminded him that he was a cow. "That's different, they're Tauren".

Panda's aren't the end of the world....of warcraft. So just back away from the edge, take a deep breath and go kill deathwing again.

Breakfast Topic: What do you think about the current Raid Finder loot rules? {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 8:24AM I would love to see the role bonus only go to people that have never won that item before. That way if you've never won the tier shoulders and 3 other people have but are rolling for OS or just for the sake of being greedy, then the person that's never won them before gets them. Otherwise if it's a bunch of people rolling for OS then everyone has an equal chance.

Just don't know how tough that would be to implement.

The Queue: When is the MoP beta starting? {WoW}

Feb 23rd 2012 2:53PM Q4tQ - I know we have nothing official yet but is there any talk of allowing more than 10 char slots per server? I have one of each class and would like to try a pandaran monk without deleting one of my char.

Is there such a thing as casually hardcore? {WoW}

Feb 17th 2012 12:49PM Sure I play a lot and probably could raid if I used my time towards a group but I couldn't imagine having to be online for scheduled blocks of time.

To me anyone raiding is a little hardcore. I might put in more hours than they do but I can log on or off whenever I feel like it. I hate to go AFK on a bunch of strangers in LFD/LFR, it would be even worse with people that are investing their time together.

Third faction or logistical nightmare? {WoW}

Feb 3rd 2012 2:44PM Yeah I couldn't image the logistical problems this would cause. Locations and quests would have to be added in all the zones. PVP wouldn't be bad because you just run the current format you do now (2 teams, could face either faction depending on queue lengths) and add 3 team battles.

Although you could have an expansion where you have to choose a faction to support at say level 86. Once chosen, you can only talk with people of that faction (alliance or horde). The problem then lies with things like the dungeon/raid finder where you've now reduced the number of people available in the queues. The other problem lies in the fact that what if you choose a faction only to find out your friends went in another faction.

Another option (although not sure how this would affect a PVP server), is to have each race as a faction and you can become friendly with any race (although some like the orcs and humans would be always at odds so you can only be friendly with one). This would allow a human to turn their back on the alliance and join the horde.
