Fan revision gives patch 4.3 trailer added pop {WoW}

Dec 2nd 2011 9:45PM Well lets be honest. How many people would cry "Horrible trailer" just because of the fact that it uses audio from the actual raid?

The Queue: Patch 4.3's release date {WoW}

Nov 24th 2011 4:25AM From videos I've seen of the Deathwing fights, there are placeholder videos where real videos should take place (I think there's 2 or 3 of them). Have these videos been datamined, or does it look like they're saving it?

New Dungeon Decks for the WoW TCG {WoW}

Oct 30th 2011 12:43AM Also, in the beta, I do believe there was a quest in Western Plaguelands to mind control rebellious Forsaken. It was removed, but it existed, so I think that that shows that Blizzard is just holding that card closer to their chest for now.

Leader short stories continue with Varian Wrynn: Blood of Our Fathers {WoW}

Oct 13th 2011 9:19PM I liked it. It did feel a little deus ex machina that Anduin was able to save Varian when he had a giant axe in his chest, but hey, it's not like Benedictus was going to heal him :P

What I'm wondering though, is if Tiffin's grave is the same big unmarked one in the SW cemetery.

Two Bosses Enter: Cataclysm Season 1 finals {WoW}

Jun 27th 2011 4:28PM Ozruk took a moment to assess the challenger. She was small, even for her species, and wasn't even in a fighting stance. An easy kill. Ozruk began his charge, roaring,

"None may pass into the World's Heart!"

The little creature stayed where it was, not even batting an eyelid. Ozruk's initial fear turned to doubt as he got closer and closer, when suddenly she spoke.

"I never was never very good at hand-to-hand combat you know. Not like my father."

Suddenly she was behind him, whispering in his ear,

"But I always excelled at poisons. Especially venoms that affect the mind."

Suddenly the arena became blurred. Ozruk tried to turn and smash the female to a bloody pulp, but she wasn't there. Instead he was suspended above a pool of lava, slowly descending. Ozruk didn't even wince as he descended into the steaming magma, chuckling to himself.

"Ahhhh. That feels good little human. Perhaps you would like to give me a manicure while I bathe?"

Still laughing at his own joke, Ozruk jumped out of the small bathtub, and landed on the floor. Patches of fire were all around him, but he paid them no heed. Instead he walked towards some strange runes on the ground. Suddenly, something massive hit him on the back, casing him to fall to one knee.

"Gah! Enough of this foolishness!" He roared, and slammed the ground in front off him, instantly killing the hapless ogre who had been standing not too far away.

No sooner had the ogre been reduced to ground meat than spiders appeared all around him, and some small creature had grabbed onto his back.

"I know how to handle all of you!" Ozruk thundered, and shattered them all. The life form that had been on his back fell to the ground, lifeless.

The door at the side of the room opened, and Ozruk looked inside to see electricity swirling around, with small spots where a much smaller creature could have passed. Fortunately, he was made of stronger stuff than those pathetic fleshlings, and simply strode through the whirling lights, which found no purchase on his rocky skin. Finally, Ozruk came upon some sort of metal construct. It turned to look at him, one eye glowing red. Ozruk stampeded towards it, destroying it in a few easy swings.

"The cycle is complete" rumbled Ozruk.

"Wheat clog in port two" replied the Foe Reaper.

The next door opened to reveal three furry creatures attacking a helpless form. Ozruk considered letting it die for a moment, but thought better of it, and proceeded to flatten one of the creatures. The worgen let out a single whimper before Ozruk's foot finished crushing him. The other two started to viciously attack Ozruk, actually causing damage to him.

"Break yourselves upon my body! Feel the strength of the earth!"

Rocky spikes erupted from Ozruk, injuring the Worgen every time they attempted to hit him. He then kicked both of them into the water, where they proceeded to drown.

Suddenly, he heard a scream. Another one of the little fleshy creatures was being attacked! Ozruk raaced over, surprised at his own speed, and paralyzed them. Once the paralysis had worn off, all three of the wolf-men had taken considerable damage. He dispatched them quickly, to find a woman being choked by another one of the creatures, this one taller and bulkier. He activated his Elementium Bulwark and Spike Shield in anticipation for an attack, but none came. The worgen was completely focused on destroying the weak mortal. Ozruk sighed inwardly, and prepared to slam the ground in front of him.

But at that moment, the woman fell to the ground, dead. And having failed in his task, the Nightmare Elixir shut down Ozruk's brain, and he fell to the ground.

Vanessa VanCleef looked at the body of the giant and rolled her eyes. She left the arena, shouting back at the Highlord,

"Maybe you could get me an adequate challenger next time? See if your medical crew can piece my old friend back together. Maybe he'll put up a fight."

ALTERNATE FIGHT (well Vanessa wins)

Ozruk took a moment to assess the challenger.

Grabbing her with one hand, Ozruk threw Vanessa across the Coliseum, smacking into the wall with an audible crunch.

"Poisons? Against me? I'm made of stone, fleshling. They don't affect me."

Vanessa growled at the giant and jumped at him, both blades drawn. Several more defias jumped out of the shadows as well, all attacking Ozruk.

Ozruk attempted to use Ground Slam on her, but she was much too agile. Instead he activated Elementium Bulwark and Elementium spike Shield. All of Vanessa's 'assistants' die within a few seconds. Ozruk chuckled, paralyzed Vanessa, and began his cast to shatter her.

Only when his shatter went off, she wasn't there. She was 16 yards away, grinning like a wolf.

"Your little shield is counterproductive, my rock brained friend."

She jumped behind him and Backslashed him, dealing him considerable pain. But he managed to kick her hard enough that he felt ribs crack. Coughing up blood, she looked up and grinned at him again.

"Fool! This entire ship is rigged with explosives! Enjoy your fiery death!"

Ozruk was lucky enough to find that there was a rope hanging from the top of the Coliseum. He clambered to the top of it, where a Knight in Black stared at him.

"You spoiled my grand entrance, ra-" Shut up" replied Ozruk, and kicked him down into the arena where he was blown to smithereens.

Ozruk hopped back down, and attacked Vanessa again. But something was wrong. Her blows were getting stronger and stronger, inflicting massive amounts of damage. Desperately, Ozruk tried to climb the rope back up, but it was too late. Vanessa appeared behind him, and with one final attack, finished him.

Vanessa VanCleef looked up at what the Stadium looked like. The entire place had been destroyed by her bomb. King Varian, Jaina, Thrall, Garrosh, and Tirion had all died in the blast. She shrugged her shoulders, and left the arena in flames.

Two Bosses Enter: Cataclysm Season 1 finals {WoW}

Jun 27th 2011 1:28PM At a glance, I think that Ozruk wouldn't really stand a chance. If we're saying that she does have her mind elixir thing, I doubt Ozruk would even pass that phase of the fight.

If you look at it, first Ozruk navigates the flames and ice, and proceeds to kill Glubtok fairly easily. Goblin-who-likes-to-jump-on-my-back (can't remember his name) will go down quickly as well, since the spiders won't pose a threat with shatter. With Foe Reaper however, it'll be tough, since I doubt Ozruk will even fit between the orbiting electriity. If he aculously does however, Foe Reaper will bite the dust. The Worgen, however, will be the greatest challenge. They will have a good amount of time to beat on the friendly NPCs before Ozruk gathers aggro. The Worgen also reset aggro. Ozruk is incapable of healing the friendlies, so they could go down quite quickly, which would result in his death.

But let's say that he manages past all this, or perhaps that we're not counting the mind poison here. I take it Vanessa is smart enough not to get hit by Ground Slam or Shatter, so all the damage will be coming from Ozruk's melee hits. With Vanessa's deflection ability, he's not going to do much damage, and the Vengeance of Van Cleef ability will just stack so high that she'll demolish him.

But the idea of Ozruk swinging away from the ship on a tiny rope to avoid the bombs is pretty entertaining.

Breakfast Topic: What memorial would you leave behind in WoW? {WoW}

Jun 7th 2011 5:20PM I think that as my rogue I would like an out of the way cave. Music like the music in the Karazhan Catacombs would play, and there would be shadowy figures (think of the type that spawn from the haunted memento, untargetable) walking around. Finally, at the very end of it all, there would be a single skull.

Apr 4th 2011 9:37PM Does anyone happen to know what the Old Gods' stance is on each other? Do they have weekly book club meetings and go on picnics together? Or are they like the Elemental Lords, chaotic, and hating each other. I'd kind of like to see what would happen should Yogg and C'thun be together in the same room.
