Oct 21st 2011 5:23PM Grouping the choices by categories (CC in one, survivability in another) is brilliant, and in retrospect, should have been done in Cataclysm. Great idea!
Oct 10th 2011 10:55PM A lot of the criticism I see is well-reasoned. I think it's increased because people aren't bored with the game as Robin theorizes; instead, people feel like the game they liked was ripped away from them when Cataclysm launched late last year. The complaints are desperate pleas to bring back whatever they think they've lost. Put another way, in the past, players dumped WoW on their own but now they feel like WoW dumped them.
Oct 10th 2011 10:35PM The problem with alts is that they take way too long to gear up, and more importantly, there's no place to take them once they're geared. With the single raid lockout and increased difficulty, alt and pug runs have disappeared from Cataclysm where they were plentiful in Wrath. Alts should take less efforts than a main because they're something to do and generally aren't on the cutting edge. Making secondary play more difficult and time consuming has made playing them so unrewarding that they've mostly disappeared. Yet another way the design approach in this expansion has effectively left us with less content (that's fun).
Oct 3rd 2011 9:06PM A consistently enforced application is a great way to cut down on requests. It limits the number of times Conflicted will have to be honest about denying people membership.
Also, it's not surprising that his guild is having success because it's a rare thing in Cataclysm--a stable guild with full benefits. It's sad that that's all it takes to interest people today, but that's the world Blizzard has created.
Sep 27th 2011 11:31PM This change has been a long time coming.
Sep 23rd 2011 11:04PM Given how late Blizzard started/opened up the beta, the delay isn't surprising at all.
Sep 5th 2011 6:49PM Having been in a situation similar to Exhausted's, I want to suggest that the only solution on realms that bad is to leave. I found on a former realm that there simply weren't enough players capable of doing Wrath content, and I can only imagine how bad it must be in the Cataclysm era.
Sep 1st 2011 12:49AM It's not the lack of challenge, it's the increased multiplayer difficulty coupled with increased grinds. The fact remains that WoW peaked during ICC, and until Blizzard gives players as much (accessible!) content as they had then, WoW will continue to bleed western subscriptions.
Remember, western subs are the ones that pay the bills. China and Brazil add fluff numbers but do diddly for the bottom line.
Aug 29th 2011 7:56PM There is no way I'm connecting my facebook account to a game just to do beta. Too bad, I was looking forward to checking out this game but I'll never touch it now.
