Have you... taken a look at the Caldari and Gallente textures recently? Because that's some sexy texturing regardless of how close or far away you are from the ship. Seriously.
Feb 4th 2012 10:13AM Star Trek Online here. FFFFFFFFFFFFFF THIS GAME IS SO GOOD WHY DIDN'T I PLAY IT BEFORE...
I just hope maintenance ends quickly; I've missed the Mirror event all week because of work, and running it would put me at 40. I want my DSSV. D:

You do realize that the Web Development team does nothing really related to the content of the game, and that the teams who do are working on churning out more content on par with Crucible in making players happy with the way the game is progressing, right? Different departments and all that?
Jan 26th 2012 9:47AM Does that croc remind anyone of a Goomba from SMB the Movie?

After refusing to sub after playing the Beta, and now coming back after it went F2P (Level 20 flailing around in a Science Vessel as a Tac Officer... yeah, don't ask), the ground combat has really picked up in pace. I don't dread it nearly so much any more. Still prefer space, but it's bearable now.
Jan 21st 2012 1:50PM EVE is my personal favorite. Very easy to understand:
Meta 2-4 of the same Tech module.
See, that's not so bad, is it!

I haven't run into this issue yet; my Cryptic account is still working just fine.

Just get a huge portion of the playerbase to unsubscribe, and that seems to wake up the devs. Worked for EVE.
Dec 28th 2011 9:04AM @tenfootgoatman Frankly, that depends on how well Guild Wars 2 delivers on the features it's promising to provide. If the game is that fun, that much better than anything else on the present market, Sub-based MMOs are going to struggle a LOT if for no other reason than, "Man... this just isn't as fun any more..."
Dec 28th 2011 9:02AM I'd have to disagree with the floundering predictions one writer had for EVE Online. Considering the Senior Producer just stepped down to make way for someone who knows the game, and who stepped up and basically said "this is what went wrong, this is what we're going to do to fix it, oh and... we're sending you to space", I think they've got a pretty healthy outlook right now.
DUST 514 will launch... and I'm not sure EVE Online will really notice. Since it's on a different platform and has no subscription fees, it smells of "optional content" that won't have any immense impact on Space-based gameplay, where Crucible has re-shifted the focus. I'm thinking 2012 will be a healthy one for EVE Online.
